In Topic: When is the Walgreens Fantastic Four releases?

Yesterday, 01:59 PM

You will find her in the wild, trust me lol. Just give the manager at your local store her WIC # or UPC # and have him/her pull on the districts inventory of on-hand counts.

I went into my local store last night, who didn't receive theirs yet, and did just that. I told him to print me the list of all stores in the surrounding 2 districts, that showed counts of 3 or more on her. He gave me the list and it showed 22 stores within 25 miles of me, all showing a case of 6. I drove 2 miles to the closest store and there was indeed 6-I took 2 to the register and went home lol.

Shop smart, not hard! 😄

Yeah it is pretty neat. The figures even look better than I thought they would based on the photos as some of the new paint apps are decent.

@skidroh92

Screw the older legends and start digging into the Mezco 1:12...no contest there lol.

The Mezco 1:12 line isn't just the best marvel toy line out right now and I will say it's not only already almost my favorite line to collect out of ALL the lines I buy (around 16-17 lines) but more along the lines of...its just probably the best toy line out there on the market period lol. They are worth EVERY penny once you get these things in your hands, trust me on that sir!

8 figure Spidey Wave is is simply sweet music to my ears. Make the BAF Man-Spider or Doppelgänger and I'll just go ahead and call this the best Spidey Legends Wave ever lol.

In Topic: Questions about 2017 releases? IS THE LINE DEAD?

12 May 2017 - 11:56 AM

Well I don't personally know Mark such as you do Wedge, but yeah, losing a 3.75 champion in the industry is never a good thing. Having said that, he only come on board in 2015 As we all know, not much has been going with Joes since the dreadful Retaliation line (sure there were some diamonds tucked in there towards the end) We've only gotten FSS and 3 years straight of TRU Exclusive 2packs/3packs with a small collection of vehicles since 2013 (I own every one of course because I am thankful to have ANYTHING Joe related as I have no doubt most Joe fans are as well)

I personally loved the Retaliation movie as there was a TON of cool homages to the comics and some great action AND it was easily a 1000x better step in the right direction versus the terrible first film. The film was directed by a Joe fan plain and simple as Jon Chu was very vocal about his love for the property. Considering the movie cost $96M and wound up grossing $376M (which doesn't include home video sales)...I was saddened that they couldn't keep him on board and immediately start on the next one.

Also, It's easy to say that the movie toy line had a huge negative impact on the toy brand but the REAL problem was that the movie got delayed a full year at virtually zero hour...but the toy line had already been produced and shipped to stores. When was the last time there was a movie toy line on the shelf with NO movie in theaters supporting it? Just bad...

I won't pretend to know what Mark was able to (or "allowed to") achieve in his 2 year term with Hasbro (Hasbro is pretty quiet on their investor calls about Joes and typically the only thing they say is the same old rhetoric like "we have BIG plans for the Joes in the future and it's going to be NEW and FRESH...etc ugh) but I feel bad that they brought on a Joe fan as the brand manager...when Hasbro was CLEARLY already downshifting their focus on 3.75, across all their portfolios, at that time (and still are as we know)

Wedge, perhaps you could elaborate or share more info since you know Mark?
