Time to bring back the 2 packs?

While doing the Wolverine NCS (up next week by the way, yes this is shameless advertising), I notice that alot of his figure are done in 2-pack. not only that but the two packs have given us some of the best and much needed character to date. With ML being one of the best toylines last year, don't you think it's about time Hasbro brought back the general release of the 2-pack.

 

I mean it doesn't have to be massive release, maybe 2 waves of 3 for a while to test the waters then bring out more.

 

If they have to stick to the Movies they could make each wave based on the movies.

 

For example for next year:

 

Thor wave:

• Classic Thor and Loki
• Lady Thor (she is coming) and Malekith
• Ultimate Thor and Lady Sif

GOTG wave:

• Vance Astro and Yondu
• Starlord and Mantis
• Gamora and Adam Warlock

 

if the they like that then have each year be a different them like

Year 1 - Arch Enemies wave 1

• Thor and Loki
• Daredevil and Kingpin
• Iron Man and Mandarin

wave 2 -

• Captain America and Red Skull
• Spider-man and Green Goblin (repaint of the upcoming Hobgoblin)
• Wolverine (armored) and Sabretooth

next year could be - Heroic Couples

wave 1

• Scarlet Witch and Vision (classic)
• Invisible Woman and Mr Fantastic
• Thor and Lady Sif

wave 2

• Iron Man and Rescue
• Spider-man and Black Cat
• Hulk and Red She-Hulk

 

I could go on but what do you think?

I say absolutely! It would be a great way to get figures out there that would have a hard time as a single release. I love the idea for the GotG two packs, as an avid fan I would love to see Vance, Adam Warlock, and Mantis all make it out, and would gladly add whatever figure accompanies them to the collection. The heroic couples idea is great, I was actually thinking as the page was loading that a Spidey and MJ two pack could work out great and finally see that particular hole in the collection taken care of.

 

Since the current two packs with War Machine, Disco IM, Falcon, and Winter Soldier do seem to be movie based this would also be a great way to get Quicksilver and Vision out since they missed release for AoU. Admittedly I'm not a movie figure collector but I really would like to see a movie Quicksilver come to be.
