3 3/4" sighting and hauls

Found the two packs at toys r us. Sadly the one Strange set that was there had a lazy eye. I bought it for now but will likely exchange it when I find one with better paint. Also nabbed the Guardians pack as I had my pick of three and thankfully I found one Yondu where the eyes were correct. And grabbed the legends Groot as well since all sizes there fit well enough for Star Lord.

I went to Wal-Mart this weekend--I rarely shop there-- and I found the 3.75 Star Wars super articulated figures on sort of clearance for 6.00. I picked up Cassian and Jynn for customs.

Any chance they had a spare Cassian or the Scariff trooper? That wave hasn't hit within 100 miles of me. I'm not optimistic about finding them.

Seeing the pics of the Sinister 6 set has me changing my tune a bit. They look great packaged and I'm almost tempted to get a spare to keep carded.

They definitely had a few Cassians, but I'm nowhere near that store now.

It's all good, I found that wave this week.

After selling through the Cassian wave, most of the WM's near me have suddenly restocked with the Phasma wave. I'm talking 2-3 cases per store. I may never see new figures again...Remind me why they didn't overproduce the Emperor's Royal Guard wave? I was hoping that one would suffer from wave one syndrome so I could easily army build them but it doesn't seem like they made as many as they usually do.

I luckily managed to grab a Cassian and a few death troopers off their website a while back but that wave has never shown up at any of the 10+ walmarts by me. In fact, I've only seen the ERG wave once since it was released. Every store has pegs loaded with Han, Leia and Finn... it's depressing. I've completely given up trying to find a scarif trooper. For the life of me I can't understand how their distribution is this bad. I envision pallets of scarif troopers and guardians 2 packs piled high in some huge, forgotten warehouse somewhere...

On the MU side of things, I recently got a Compound Hulk and have Old Man Logan on the way. While I'm a couple variants shy, my collection is essentially 100% complete! Along with Logan, I also have a loose Astral Dr Strange coming which will replace my carded one.

I wish I had gotten into collecting these from the beginning. I sadly missed the glory days of this line (didn't start until after the Infinite rebranding) but the past 3 yrs have been quite enjoyable building up my universe. Despite the cutbacks and price increases I really hope this line will continue.

Well congrats!!

I got into this line during Wave 2, launch of wave 3 way back when...cherry picking at first to join my GI joe, SW collections...(before falling out of SW for a bit)

I forget sometimes that much newer collectors need some of these rereleases.

But yeah,

They won me with a 3.75 scaled Silver Surfer , Archangel, Hulk, Colossus and Night Crawler (my god after that it was a rap for me, started becoming a "loose" completist after that)

Hope there is a new "glory days" on the horizon,

Some serious gaps in a few of my teams and villian Sets..

Quick review of the two new 2-packs hitting Targets now.

This is the Spider-Man we've been waiting for! It is a full-on JL Cylops buck with ankle rockers, waist and mid-torso articulation, thigh and calf cuts, and a neck hinge. The wrists are not hinged, but the right hand is angled into a thwip motion, and there is wrist rotation. The head has large, sculpted-on eyes. I tried to capture it all in this quick pic. I'll take proper pictures over the weekend and compare with past Spidey issues.

The bad news is that in a case of six, only 2 are this Spidey with Shocker. Spidey/Vulture are 4 to a box. DPCI is confirmed as 087-06-7988. $19.99 each.

Vulture is solid, but typical of recent movie figures - no wrist articulation or waist swivel. But the rocker ankles with those claws are very nice. The wings are one molded piece that insert into the back via two pegs.

Homecoming Spidey is appropriately undersized. There is no wrist articulation, but there is a neck hinge, rocker ankles, and a torso split.

Shocker is typical of the newer 3.75 molds. He has a one piece torso and no wrist articulation or neck hinge. The lightning bolt symbol is molded on.

really wanted to grab the shocker set, but i so don't want that spidey. was disappointed in the movie 2 pack with spidey's lack of wrist articulation and the wings on vulture being one piece and only going up and down. they could've used some folding articulation or, at least, flapping instead of up and down. the mold is pretty sweet, though

Has anyone had trouble with the left wrist of Spider-Man from the Shocker 2 pack? I broke one trying to free the joint today (after trying both to heat and freeze it). I returned it and picked up another, but that one is frozen as well. Any advice?

Maybe a long shot but Heat up

Some water and stick the troubling joint (only the joint) in the water for 30 seconds to a minute and try to see if you can just carefully pop the joint out of the softened pliable socket then once it's out pop it back in.. that should of at least removed the excess paint issue causing the stiff joint.

Hopefully Like older MU figures the hand peg is sturdy enough to try it with no ill effects.

(Don't freeze it, let it cool naturally)
