  1. X-Men two packs could be a good way to get out multiple versions of popular characters, such as the upcoming Dark Phoenix if it's appearing in a two pack. 80's Dazzler and Longshot would be sweet. Domino could be matched up with a classic Cable. Maybe an FA Storm with Warpath or Green/Yellow Banshee, then a different version of her could take a spot in the next X-Men wave. Anyway I love the idea of comic based two packs, whatever they are - my brain is just in X-Mode right now. Either way I hope it comes to fruition.
  2. Having thought about this a little bit more (for some reason) I guess the whole point of BAF is to reward those who are buying everything. I suppose it would be more worthwhile for Hasbro to release the hypothetical new Hulk figure as a stand alone with a new BAF for the devoted rather than pushing the Hulk BAF onto people who wouldn't have intended to buy the whole line. I guess the latter could go three ways: A) More casual collectors would pick up the whole line for the Hulk, resulting in greater sales. B) Longtime collectors would be less inclined to buy the whole wave for the BAF, resulting in lower sales. C) Both, and the sales stay pretty much the same. D) I have work to do why am I on the internet talking about an imaginary Hulk toy? Would be interesting to see some stats about which waves sold the most (I remember someone talking about this once, maybe not this board though) and relate those to the BAFs and how "desireable" they were to collectors. 'Course it would get muddy with movie branding etc. Nevertheless, I'm sure it would be interesting.
  3. Yeah that seems more likely - as unlikely as a Morph figure seems at this point (to me at least). Didn't those three versions all have different uniforms though? I think my general mental image of Morph is animated getup. The other two had capes and the blank white masked head right? Which Morph would you most want? All three or would you pick one? Question applies to anyone else who cares to answer also.
  4. I'm actually totally on board with this, despite the negative response. The country I live in is fine and everything, but we never had consistent releases of Legends at retail. The last series that had a general release was Sentinel series. Never saw two packs at all. For this reason I never picked it up, and my Legends collecting basically stopped until I got my crap together and started buying online. I'm sure I'm not the only person who has had this problem or a similar one. Added to the fact that Face Off Hulk came out nine and a half years ago - I'm pretty sure there is a huge pocket of Legends collectors who have only begun to collect in that interim. Don't get me wrong, Face Off Hulk is awesome and I agree it's the best made entry in this scale, but I don't really want to pay second hand collector market prices for it - especially since our exchange rate with US dollars is not favorable to me at all. I like the Hulk from the Two-Pack with Valkyrie, but the bowl cut is just way too severe for me. Plus it still hasn't seen a single release (has it?) so still isn't particularly easy to get hold of for everyone. I had an Avengers movie Hulk that I hated (I just don't want movie figures... recently found a delightful solution to the War Machine debacle) and the Select Hulk which was way too big. That being said, there are a lot of you hardouts who would rather see that spot spent on a new character - totally understandable. Remember though, what you ideally want is usually not exactly what Hasbro gives you. That's half the reason everyone has a new-character-want-list longer than their intestine. I don't think Hasbro releasing one all new Hulk figure would be any more of a disservice than getting any other repaint or slightly updated version of something you already have. I approach Hasbro Legends tentatively. I don't go all in like a lot of you. There are givens. Every line is going to have something I don't want or need. If I like the BAF I have to go with it and try and sell the extras. If not, I pick and choose. SURELY this isn't just me? So I'd be pretty excited to see a new Hulk in any of the forms suggested by monron (you magnificent bastard) and I'm pretty sure a whole lot of other collectors would too - maybe not everyone, but since when is everyone happy? Enjoyed your thoughts on the matter bro, and I love your defenders idea.
  5. That would be so rad. Imagine if they did a Morph with interchangeable heads - considering he's wearing that basic uniform and half the X-Men wore a version of that at some point in the 90's. Unmasked Wolvie, Gambit, Joseph, Legion, Banshee and Forge (even if the latter two had extra crap on their uniforms). Just dreamin' now bro.
  6. NEW Spectrum (Rambeau) Jim Hammond Ant Man (Scott Lang, 00's comic version) Stature (Cassie Lang, any modern incarnation) Major Victory Thor (Jane Foster) Ms. Marvel (Kamala) Blue Marvel (any) Shang-Chi (Classic) Moonstar (either 90's X / Fearless Defenders) REDO Black Widow (Modern or classic) Luke Cage (Mighty Avengers) Falcon (Modern) Wonder Man (same design as Toybiz, better body) Hercules (classic preferred) Agent 13 / Sharon Carter (Secret Avengers) Black Panther (New Avengers) Moon Knight (Anything) Rogue (Uncanny Avengers) Quicksilver (Anything from classic blue to modern white/blue) BAF's Lockjaw More later... BOXSET GOTG2!! - Phyla-Vel, Adam Warlock, Bug, Mantis - with Cosmos! Would also like to see Jack Flag and Moondragon but they just don't fit here...
  7. It'd be sweet if they made Deadpool the BAF of an X-Men wave, and they marketed it as "This is not a BAF, it's just the only way to keep that creep from regeneratin'"
  8. I’m on board with Tarot, not expecting a great deal, although this mostly because I don’t want to be let down. Expectations: 1) Completed Red Onslaught BAF series reveal. Will probably include the Namor we saw, plus two or three more characters. 2) Next Spiderman series announced, probably via slideshow: Silk, Shocker, Electro, Miles Spider-Man, Peter Parker civilian, Ashley Barton Spider-girl. Plus BAF? Based on that leak someone posted recently. 3) An exclusive, hopefully on display. Things I hope for, in order of most to least likely: 1) Spider-Gwen’s painted alternate head. 2) Taskmaster will come with an actual sword rather than lightsabre. 3) Anything from a one figure teaser to several wholly revealed waves of 2016 figures. 4) Rogue or Black Widow are in the Red Onslaught series. 5) A million boxsets of teams or book specific associations. 6) That Hasbro was just kidding, and all those 3.75/4” Comic 2-Packs at SDCC will be Legends scale. 7) That I will be magically teleported to the event
  9. Yo! I'm a longtime lurker with a lot of spare time recently so I signed up. Anyway! Using Tarot’s pretty amazing list as a template (I have adopted some of your ideas), here are mine: Civil War Wave One -Capwolf -Taskmaster -Namor (from SDCC slide show) -Nuke -Mockingbird / Songbird “Screaming Sirens” (awesome idea!) -Black Widow (comic version on updated lady buck) BAF: Red Onslaught Since the first wave contains no movie figures and will probably utilise the packaging for a sort of “brand awareness” approach if at all, I’ve decided there will probably be three waves relating to the Civil War movie similarly to how three waves of Avengers Infinite contain Age of Ultron stuff. Plus, I feel like the above wave (as well as next Spider-man wave) will ship for Christmas. Wave Two -Movie Cap -Movie Vision -Movie Scarlet Witch -Movie Black Panther -Monica Rambeau (Spectrum) -Falcon/Captain America “Marvel’s Sam Wilson” BAF: Movie Crossbones Wave Three -Movie Iron Man -Movie War Machine -Movie Winter Soldier -Movie Sharon Carter / Agent 13 -Quicksilver (modern comic version) -Luke Cage (modern) / Victor Alvarez “Power Men” BAF: Movie Baron Zemo Wave Four -Movie Hulk (I am certain Hulk will be in this movie, Act III yo) -Movie Spider-man -Movie Falcon -Wonder Man (just like the old one) -Scott Lang Ant Man (modern comic version) -Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) / Thor (Jane Foster) “Clever Title Here (A-Force?)” BAF: Stature, 10” or so, BIG but not bigger than Giant Man Leave movie Hawkeye and Widow to the exclusive boxsets since they will undoubtedly be similar to AOU looks, and thus easy repaints. Spiderman Wave Five -Spider-man Noir -Mysterio -Vulture -Colleen Wing / Silver Sable “Heroes for Hire” -Captain Britain -Shang-Chi BAF: Man-Spider Wave Six -Black Suit Spiderman -Spider-man India (Pravitr Prabhakar) -Moon Knight -Dani Moonstar / Hippolyta “Fearless Defenders” -Dr. Octopus -Blade (Eric Brooks) BAF: Spider-Ham and Spider-Monkey X-Men -Iceman (NOW, adult) -Nightcrawler (classic duds) -Beast (Secret Avengers) / Rogue (Uncanny Avengers) “Mutant Avengers” (QUITE a long shot I know) -Wolverine (obligatory, but how ‘bout on a new short and stocky buck) -Magik (Vishanti repack) -Deadpool (probably not movie version) BAF: Nimrod Dr. Strange (assuming that like the Ant-Man wave, it’ll be barely related – will need a couple of heavy hitters to help the wave at retail) -Movie Strange -Movie Baron Mordo -Classic Thor (to go with new Classic Cap) -Agent 13 (comic book version) -Blue Marvel/Black Panther (modernish comic versions) “Nouns of Adjectives” (I’m getting lazy) -Human Torch (Jim Hammond) BAF: Classic Hulk (to go with new classic Cap an Thor) Maybe unlikely. Too many heroes? I dunno. That’s my ideal list though! Even though I don't buy movie figures (couple exceptions), they are coming. No use hiding from it.
