  1. Is it a deep reading though? If you're implying that what Daredevil has gone through for the last +10 years would drive former creators away, you're not really alluding to "some of the things" that you personally dislike, but rather a whole lot of things (+10 years of them) that other people would dislike. Contrary to popular belief, people hold the power to control how others interpret the things they say... Because they're the ones saying it. Communication is a conscious effort, and written communication even moreso lol And with great power...
  2. If you weren't implying the last +10 years of Daredevil weren't beyond appalling and damaging you wouldn't have suggested that some of his classic creators would've "bowed out after seeing what's been done to the character." It doesn't feel like you're alluding to just "some of the things." As if anything else would cause something like that. I think the plausible deniability of "I didn't say those exact words verbatim" is better suited for a court (heh, speaking of Daredevil...)
  3. Did they? I don't recall the SP//dr Wave Daredevil being promoted as a Shadowland release, at least not in the packaging.
  4. Funny to see the trend of people mistaking the ANAD-era costume for the Shadowland costume reach official releases.
  5. You mean horrible stufff like... [checks notes] Mark Waid's critically acclaimed run between 2011-2015? Wait, no, that can't be right... you have to be alluding to something like the incomprehensible monstrosity of... [checks notes] a just-as-praised run by Chip Zdarsky between 2019-2023? I mean, lol, even Charles Soule's 2015-2018 run that is sandwiched between those two titans and wasn't as beloved is universally regarded as fine. Or did you say 15 years specifically so you could allude to Shadowland which happened in 2009-2010 as if that single story that's been mostly swept under the rug has enough weight to sully everything overwhelmingly positive that has come since 2011?
  6. Good to get an update on these since their reveal eight months ago. Can't wait to have that Iron Man decorating my shelf.
  7. Based on this picture from Shartimus' reveal, we can be certain the shoulder pads are pegged into the upper arms. The lack of pegholes in the upper torso makes me think the chestplates might be either a two-piece snap-on overlay (maybe with pegholes in the back for extra support?), or a one-piece overlay that you slip into the figure from above by removing the head. I think the belt is going to be similar to the one from their new Captain America, which is a soft piece that you wrap around the waist and peg into itself on the back.
  8. What early reviews? It's sitting at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes at the moment, with 25 aggregated reviews. Plus 95% audience score. Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, IGN, Empire, Discussing Films, Collider, The Wrap and SlashFilm have all given it raving scores, to name a few. Have also been hearing great things about it on my online circles.
  9. I love that they didn't limit themselves to just the chestplate, which is the most recognizable difference between the two versions of the War Machine Armor (the MK 1 worn by Tony Stark and the MK 2 worn by Rhodey). They really went the extra mile by including interchangeable shoulder pads and belt. Even the little cable on the left arm! Wonder if they'll throw in a different shoulder gun for the Tony version. I would also love an alternate unmasked head with Tony's face. On a side note, man. Would it really taken Shartimus too much effort to do a second take of this reveal after having to walk back on his observation about the lack of unibeam? Feels a bit unprofessional.
  10. I actually also prefer the bulk of the AF body, plus the disc-jointed neck. My ideal Spidey body would be a grown-up version of it. Same muscle definition, but adult-sized.
  11. I don't like the use of the Amazing Fantasy mold for this Spider-Man. This look is from modern comics, so he shouldn't be as short as his teenage self. I know mold degradation is a thing, but maybe they could've used the Spider-Shot variant of the RYV mold? Maybe pulled a Chasm (even though that would've led to pinned joints)?
  12. Decided to turn to one of my favorite hobbies. Expressing my grievances with disappointing Marvel Legends releases via digibashes:
  13. Never been much of a Wolverine guy, and I'm past my Deadpool phase, but Ryan North in writing duties is making this team-up very appetizing...
  14. I think Anti-Venom's lankier design in his early appearances was mostly a byproduct of the way JRjr draws original taste Venom rather than a conscious attempt at making him like that.
