During CinemaCon, Shawn Levy, the director of Deadpool and Wolverine, informed Screen Rant that despite Ryan Reynolds reprising his role as Deadpool, the upcoming Marvel film will not bear the title Deadpool 3. Deadpool & Wolverine is scheduled to make its debut in cinemas on July 26, 2024. Directed by Levy, the movie was co-written by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, Reynolds, and Levy. In the concluding CinemaCon session held by Disney today, the studio presented the latest film starring Anthony Mackie, which continues the storyline following the events of the Disney+ series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, aired in 2021. Within the series, Sam Wilson assumes the responsibility of wielding the shield previously carried by the departed Steve Rogers (portrayed by Chris Evans). Julius Onah helmed the film, with the screenplay penned by Malcolm Spellman, known for his work on Falcon and the Winter Soldier, along with Dallan Musson and Matthew Orton.
