  1. Seriously, guys? I'm reminded of why I stopped posting here in the first place. Any time you offer a dissenting opinion about something you're branded an outsider who just doesn't get it. What a lovely "community". I'm out, have fun with your echo chamber.
  2. I wouldn't put it past them. Didn't they even go as far as arguing that the retail Sentinel color scheme was accurate to modern comics despite the fact that it isn't? Also, what's with the love for Foom? He's a pretty obscure dude for such a huge effort. I mean, I've never read any comics with him so he just looks like a big doofy dragon in purple shorts to me. If Hasbro is really going to put out the effort to do a super obscure Masterworks like this then why not do something that actually looks neat, like Eternity or something. Also also, let's be real here. Even if he does get released and the five of you who are stoked for him get one he's still going to peg warm (shelf warm?). Hard. If Galactus and Sentinels are peg warming then they're going to have to start charging these things rent.
  3. Hello! I've come back from the dead to show off a really simple but amazingly effective looking Iron Patriot custom: I wanted to go for a more comic-accurate version of the suit. The version Hasbro gave us is based off the Extremis armor, which just looks totally wrong compared to how the Iron Patriot armor was portrayed in the comics. There are several different ways he's been drawn in the comics, so I based this figure off the most consistent (and my favorite) portrayal. Reference: Critiques, comments and death threats are welcome. I won't get into a fuming huff at the most innocent criticism, I promise. :)
  4. Oh. You only had four OPP sigs. That's not a crazy eye sore at all. My bad.
  5. Simply stating a single problem isn't being "overly critical". What I meant by a second coat was (especially in that one I quoted) that the paint looks really spotty. Look at the red and you can see straight through in some parts to the darker base color. Would criticism go over better if I had fourteen OPP links in my sig?
  6. Most of these could definitely use some major touch ups in the paint as well as another coat, especially this one.
  7. If these forums still let me swear I'd be swearing in joy right now. I've been waiting for someone to cast that trenchcoat!
  8. So Avengers stuff finally started showing up in my area. Grabbed the Cap in updated outfit and movie Hulk and I've gotta say these toys are absolutely terrible in every imaginable way. Had to go through a bunch of them to find halfway acceptable paint apps, tons of gimmicky accessories and the articulation is 90's bad. Seriously, these toys are bad bad bad bad bad bad. I'd expect this kind of garbage in a McDonald's Happy Meal, not a toy that runs in the $8-9 price range. Get what you need to fill in the holes in your collection if you absolutely need to, otherwise forget these terrible figures.
  9. I really dig that, but there's something slightly off about his jawline. It just looks a little too thin. Am I the only person who sees this?
  10. This guy's head with that resin color could definitely be taken the wrong way... Just kidding. I love that sculpt!
  11. There's no point where I said that. I said in the post that I know there's a rule about swearing. I was simply inquiring about why we have this rule as well as issuing my best guess as to why it's here. The question still stands. Wait, what? Are you putting words on the same scale as other things that are measured morally? I think you're missing the point if you look at words as something more than just what they are: words. My screen name's just a reference to a movie I like. The fact that I choose not to insert swear words into literally everything I type doesn't paint my argument into a corner (I seriously have no idea how you jumped to that conclusion). This is an opinion. Does the fact that you disagree with something wholly justify complete censorship in your eyes? Would you be so smug about this if the forum rules weren't in favor of your views?
  12. I don't understand why swearing is such a horrible offense around here. What's the deal with this? I fully understand that you have a note about it on the terms of use when you register, but I'm talking about reasoning for the policy. Is it here because of young children? Are you guys (owners/mods) deeply religious or something? It just seems very silly and archaic to have a rule like this on a forum full of adults (or people who are at least old enough to have heard the f-word before). Please shed some light on this silliness so that I can feel a little less annoyed after my posts have been deleted due to someone apparently being unable to handle a word.
