Thor and Netflix wave confirmed

tarot

Recommended Posts

We know that the Daredevil, Jessica Jone, Punisher and Elektra were confirmed but the comic figures of the wave have now been officially confirmed!!!

Blade (fina-fucking-lly!!!!) with interchangable head, Bulleyes with a butt load of accessories and BAF Man Thing.

as for Thor, along with Lady Thor, we get a new Ares (laughing at all those idiot who bought the KO version) and a Young Thor from the God Butcher arc. Along with Marvel Now Thor and King Thor we now have the trio of Thor's from that arc.

yes seriously Hasbro don't give us the 3 Thor's without giving us the reason why the three of them teamed up. at least the second wave.

but if you think of it with these being revealed now what can they have for us at SDCC. preview of a second wave for each and a Spidey wave? I hope there more then that but they always surprise us at SDCC.

BLADE!!! AT LAST!!!! i still wish we would get that trench coat, but beggars...etc. As for the Man-Thing; I think it's a great choice for a BAF (I know I normally stand against "redos", but even I'm forced to admit these toybiz versions and sculpts are REEEEALLY outdated...and small). I know a lot of you would've preferred Wilson Fisk (I'm not sure which version peeps have been clamoring for, series or comic), but an updated (and large) Man-Thing can't be a bad-thing (Uh boy). However, do any of you agree that he should be...less erect (I mean vertical). Shouldn't he be naturally hunched over?

August 1st is the scheduled release date for this wave. Geez. It's kinda disheartening knowing you're gonna be crazy broke by Aug 2nd. Just 10 days prior, I'll be breaking the bank getting "The Battle for Asgard" box/ball set and the 12" Daredevil at SDCC. Not to mention the damned A-Force set will most likely release during Comic-Con (and isn't the X-Men 2 pack in there somewhere?)!

I'll get Jessica Jones (her comic look is damn near identical), and probably Elektra for the same reason.

Blade does look good, but I still love Series V Wesley, I may pass on DD.

Man-Thing, I think TB is still superior, or at least good enough not to replace. We'll get a better look once the figure drops. Pass on the Thors

You cannot tell me that's not the same Ares as the BAF

I'm going to use her in the same way.

I hear you on Ares especially, just a different deco honestly with an updated logo/symbol on the armor. They can say all they want about "updated articulation" but I doubt it will be more than just ankle rockers, and that's honestly not enough to sell me on that one. The axe is even a recycled piece from the HML wave 2 Lord of Asgard Thor. I also like the TB Man-Thing, I doubt I'll be replacing unless I really like all the Netflix figures.

Has anyone confirmed the baf for the Thor wave is Hulk?

No confirmation as yet. At that presser Hasbro had last week, they made it an effort NOT to reveal/confirm what the BAF is or substantiate any rumors. Right now the rumor is Skurge the Executioner. Not know whether it's the comic or movie version. This makes sense because if it's the movie version, or even if it's the Hulk (this being the movie version as well), they haven't revealed the movie figures yet with the exception being movie Thor. Hasbro via Marvel is always tight lipped about that. My guess is we'll find out around July 20th or thereabouts. Heh.

It would be a travesty if WW/Planet Hulk isn't the BAF. There's no reason why Executioner can't be single packed or at worst, thrown in a 2pack

Very true! If they can do that with Colossus and Death's Head II, it can definitely be done with Skurge (funny how they're trying to move away from calling him "The Executioner").
