Question about Toybiz era Onslaught

I have wanted to ask this question to someone who might know since I got into Marvel Legends collecting ( I refuse to call the 3.75 figures legends so I am talking about 6 inch ) . Why in god's green earth did toybiz make thier BAF Onslaught look like that ? The newer Onslaught BAF is on point and what we all think of when we think this great villian so why did they do this ? It just makes no sense . Is there an answer beyond Toybiz was a crappy company ? I don't even display that BAF and I display everything I collect basically on my shelves throught my house.

Toybiz figure is actually pretty accurate to Onslaught second from after Prof X was separate from him.

Toybiz went with that most likely because it was the form he took in the MVC games.

Also be careful calling TB a crappy company. Most people would crucify you for that.

I know that at one point he sorta resembled that figure but it is just such a bad looking figure . Obviously this is just my opinion toybiz was never a great company if you want a good looking figure , but they do define my childhood . I gave them zillions of dollars as a kid ( or rather my mom did ) in the early 90's but boy was I happy when the Marvel Legends line got moved to a Hasboro . Their very early ML figures left something to be desired as well ( they were too small in terms of scale IMO ) but man the last 5-7 waves have been fantastic .
