New Warriors Legends?

Jumping the gun here, especially since it was just announced that it will be getting a TV series, but IF, that that a big if, Hasbro decided to release a New Warriors was what would you want to the wave?

  1. Squirrel Girl - she is the lead but let face it. I don't think there is anybody who doesn't want her in her comic form at this stage.
  2. Firestar - been my NO. 1 wanted figure since I started so she should get a figure by now.
  3. Justice- we got his future self (Vance Astro) so why not just repaint that with a new head and cape.
  4. Scarlet Spider (Kaine)- Nice way to get Spidey fan into the wave and at the same time give us a update to the older one. Maybe the 2099 mold since kaine is usually bigger then his brother.
  5. Speedball - Really need a figure by now. Use the Pizza Spidey mold?
  6. Nightrasher - Bucky Cap Mold with DD batons and new stakeboard accessories
  7. BAF: Rage - Since I couldn't think of a figure large enough to be a BAF although they could have just use the Hyperion mold

That all sounds good, I could really go for Justice Firestar, and a new updated Kaine/Scarlet Spider. I guess I'm in the minority, but I just can't get hyped for squirrel girl in the show, or even a comic styled figure.

With this new news I'd say the odds are better than ever! Just learned Dagger was once a member, so with both series destined for Freeform, I'm lumping Cloak & Dagger into this line.

Wave 1

Squirrel Girl

Justice

Firestar (classic "Amazing Friends" costume)

Cloak

Dagger

Sun Girl

Scarlet Spider (Kaine)

BAF - Rage

Wave 2

Namorita

Turbo (male)

Turbo (female)

Nova (classic costume, remake)

Firestar (Avengers costume)

Speedball

Night Thrasher

BAF - Silhouette

Personally I love this idea but I think an actual New Warriors wave is a huge longshot. I think what's more likely to happen is some of these characters will probably make their way into the Knights Wave(s). I suspect knowing that series for Cloak & Dagger, Runaways and New Warriors were close on the horizon is why they decided to call that particular splinter of ML the "Knights" rather than Defenders or Netflix as all of us assumed. It's also the perfect way to slip in some of these characters that just don't quite fit in with any of the current main waves.

That being said, I've been wishing for characters from the New Warriors for soooo long so I'm gonna play along as if an entire NW dedicated line is possible.

Wave 1:

1. Night Thrasher (original) - easy to do using parts or slight alterations to Taskmaster, Darkhawk & Moon Knight parts.

2. Tigra - finally, they could easily find a place to get her in here. Nothing more than a repainted Moonstone mold with retooled hands & feet.

3. Firestar - this would be the swap with Tigra. She's been on all our wish lists for so long and would be so easy to do.

4. Speedball - no brainer. Pizza Spidey mold still has a ways to go before it's run it's course, though the legs could be just a tiiiiny bit shorter for this character.

5. Scarlet Spider - yes it's a redo but a totally legit redo if only for the simple fact that he should have been done to be much larger than the averge Spider-Man figure the first time. As most databases list him at 6'4" or 6'3" he could be made using the Reaper mold or even the Spider UK mold.

6. Slapstick - no BAF, just extra parts for power effects.

7. Justice - can't be a simple repaint of Vance Astor tho. He's very specifically portrayed in the comics to be much smaller than his future self. The Spidey 2099 mold would be perfect.

BAF: Rage - he's been portrayed in a huge variations of sizes mostly dependent on the artists particular tastes, but a figure similar in size to Colossus, who coulda been a BAF, would be well within conceivability.

Wave 2:

1. Night Thrasher (Bandit) - tho he was a lame substitute he did have an awesome look. Not exactly sure how they'd pull it off tho, but ML is in bad need for a new trench coat buck.

2. Nova - straight redo of the Nemisis Wave version just because you know you wanna take that one back soooo bad. C'mon Hasbro, I'm sure there will be a few grumbles at first but we'll all appreciate the effort in the long run.

3. Silhouette - gotta be done. Even leave out the BAF to include her canes. Just do it.

4. Namorita (original) I've loved this character since the series started & I was disgusted with the way they kept toying with her look.

5. Squirrel Girl - easy to do. Need to find more use for the teen mold.

6. Cloak - ya gotta figure, both these shows being on the same network should have some kinda overlap (a la Supergirl/Flash/Arrow).

7. Dagger - where Cloak goes she must follow to keep him in line. Simple repaint of the Kate Bishop figure.

BAF: Haechi - in his powered up form. This could possibly be used for the eventual Lockjaw BAF.

For the record I totally agree with KiloinNorcal. Squirrel Girl was put in there totally for the manipulation of the current social landscape. I hope they don't push it so much that it actually runs & ultimately ruins the show. But it probably will.

BTW, I'm sure they plan to make her the leader. Just in case we all don't know yet that the ladies are in charge.
