Just Wanted To Know Who Deleted My Sig And Why?

Hey someone's been messing with my sig and been removing the following pic, can anyone tell me what's up and what problem they're having with it?

I'm going to take a guess and say it had something to do with the religious iconography.

I have no idea. My involvement with TNI is limited to a rather small corner.

 

But you asked what the problem they're having with your sig image is, and looking at it, the fact that some people might be offended by the use of religious iconography is what immediately came to mind. So that'd be my guess.

 

Hopefully the person who actually made the change will pop in sooner or later and give you a more definite answer.

A religious connection is what immediatly came to mind when I first saw it, and that is most likely why it was taken off, I personally dont care about it at all, in fact, I was laughing.

I just have a small favor to ask of the mods on here. Could you please at least notify people as to why their posts/sigs are being deleted instead of hiding in the shadows? In the "Pope" thread, several of my posts were deleted even though there was nothing anti-Christian about them. Yet at the same time, people on here can refer to Arab Muslims as "ragheads" without so much as a lecture. It's like a conspiracy by the Church to silence message board users. @loll@

Just a thought here, and its bugged me for a while, sort of along the lines of what synch said...if the pic was taken off due to the "no religion" rule, why are pro-religion sigs allowed to remain? One specific sig comes to mind, a certain transfan with a pic of jesus and the guote "let him light your darkest hour" comes to mind. I'm quite anti-religion myself, so maybe that offends me.

I've noticed it's a hit and miss with religious stuff on here, I guess what it comes down to is, is how each mod feels about something, and if they decided to leave it up, or take it down.

 

I know there's been threads in community center I thought should be taken down, but others left up.. enh..

I'm not offended by it. I am a believer (for the most part) and understand where such a thing could be viewed as offensive by those a little MORE sensitive to the subject.

 

I don't think it funny either, not even a little "tee hee hee".....so basically for me, it's a non issue. Don't care.

it's a joke along the lines of first person shooter games like quake or halo, when you get killed in the games, you respawn in a new place, but sometimes it takes a few seconds. this delay is called lag, and generally players get upset with it.

I really didn't see a problem with it, I saw it and understood it, and thought to myself, I wonder how long that'll stay up, just cause the fact that someone might take offense to it...

To be honest, if someone took offense or even reported it, I'm sure they're not the only one and I'd say it's best to just leave it off, for the better of the community... but then again, that's just me

basically.. the way I see it (even though its not the way the rules go).. is I feel everybody should be free to express their own religious beliefs..

 

but they CAN NOT do anything to insult or belittle another person's.

 

 

If somebody wants to be Muslim.. thats fine.. but if they say Christian's are stupid.. thats not fine

 

and if you don'y believe in any religion... then why does somebody else's religion bug you?? I will never understand that.

Its not that their religion bugs me, its just that the slightest push for any particular religion is one push too many.

For example, someone says "I believe in ____." Thats fine.

Someone says "___ is so great, you should believe in him/it." This annoys the hell outta me.

Religious people just take their religions waaay too seriously, imo.

I haven't seen this but if that's true, that does particularly offend me as well
