House of M Hulk

I recently got House of M Hulk from ebay and I noticed that on his arm joint that the paint on the hinge is peeling off. Has this happened to anyone else or did I get a bad item?

Well the figure sucks no matter what, but most figure's paint peels off on the joints.

even though it the just a repaint, i sugeest getting the house of m box set for the other three they are fantastic. the hulk isnt bad but it not worth getting it alone get it if only your a hulk fantatic or a completist.

I'm in the minority here I gues because I think other than the action feature, it's a great figure. Plus it's a good base for Hulk customs.

I bought the set largely for the Iron Man, so I don't really care about the Hulk, but even so I was a bit shocked and annoyed to see the paint scratch and flake within minutes of opening him.

 

Personally, I think it's just a bad quality of paint, but I don't know if it's some or all of the figures.

The House of M set was great. That Hulk was an excellent Hulk. The Thing was really top rate also. I'm sorry we never got an actual Thing that was as well done.

Well, he did say 'actual Thing'. Regardless of his name in HoM, he's remarking that we don't have a 'traditional' Ben Grimm that's as well-done.

 

Although personally, the Weiringo-style Thing from the FF Classics line is my personal fave. Not so great on the articulation, but that gorgeous artist-specific sculpt (from an artist I think was one of the best at drawing Ben) just blows me away. It's likely to be a long, LONG time before I replace that figure.

That figure is a great base for customizing other bulky figures. House of M Hulk will be a great application for a custom . . . Iron Clad !! After viewing the sample Incredible Hulk movie wave figure samples, some of which are now released in Hongkong and Asia, it does resemble Iron Clad in a way by a slight modification of the head (make it look a bit more blocky) and foot (modify it to a boot, as in F4 Thing boot). Just a thought.

no they are not.

 

the house of m hulk is a repaint of the hulk from wave 2 of hulk classics. he came with a bruce banner pack-in.

Most of the Custom Hulks that I have use either the HOM Hulk or the Planet Hulk figure.

Planet Hulk is made from War Hulk, IIRC. I don't think Maestro is based on him at all, since virtually every part would have to be remolded, but I could be wrong there.
