LCBH Frost Giant BAF.........????????

I heard that the since cancelled LCBH Wave Three was supposed to have a BAF of the Frost Giant. I don't understand this, Ymir the Frost Giant is a Thor baddie, why was he going to be a LCBH BAF???

Any insight??????????

Well, there's a couple of things here.

-Ymir is from Norse mythology, and as such is not exclusive to Marvel Comics. The only copyright Marvel holds where the character is concerned is their specific look for the character and the (Marvel) comic stories he's been in. The same applies to Thor, Hercules, Ares, and a slew of other 'based on myth' heroes/villains. In fact, Marvel, DC, and Image all have Thor and Hercules characters (and others, I'm sure).

-The Frost Giant BAF was not, to my knowledge, supposed to specifically BE Ymir.

-He's based on a creature (character?) from the Conan comics, published by Dark Horse. Marvel Toys had the Conan license from DH, so they could indeed make a Frost Giant based on that book with no legal problems at all.
