The DC figures are my new thing, theres alot of them that I passed up when I saw them because I didnt want to start a whole new series, but now I'm going back and collecting everything that I missed. Back to the 2 packs though, these figures look really really good. I think the interchangeable parts should be standard on all ML figures, it would really help eliminate those ridiculous chase and variant figures, and having to pay a butt load of money for a slight variation. Ultimate Nick Fury and Ultimate Cap is easily my favorite two pack right now, but I have been waiting for a Forge figure for a long time.

Ever since SOTA toys' Street Fighter figures started using the interchangable heads and hands I've wanted Hasbro to do that too. I mentioned that in a thread once (was Hasbro listening?)! My favorite 2 Pack is Ronin and Elektra but I'm not crazy about Mr. Fantastic. I would have used just about any previous Reed Richards head but that one. Maybe the FF Classics one would work.

The DC figures are great too. A good friend of mine only wanted the Grundy Collect & Connect so he's giving me all the loose figures from the new set. I plan on getting a Solomon Grundy at some point.

I just went in one of the Wal-Marts today, looking for one thing and happened to check the toy aisle and they finally had them. They usually never have them when I go looking and thats like 2x a week. I picked up the Wolverine/Forge pack because I been waiting for Forge. But what can I do with this Wolverine? Don't want him at all. A month ago I picked up the Mr. Fantastic/Thing 2-Pack. I kept thing and gave Mr. Fantastic to my nephew.

Got these through HTS earlier this week.

Ultimate Cap/Ultimate Fury is definitely the "winner" of this set to my eyes. Two awesome figures with lots of accessories. Only wish Cap had a holster for his 45.

Ronin/Elektra comes in second. Lots of accessories, interchangeable heads (and if you use the bandana-less Elektra head on the Ronin body...voila!....Maya Lopez...or a reasonable approximation thereof..though it looks weird with that thick neck.

Wolverine/Forge is third. Forge is awesome, with two great headsculpts and some great weaponry, but the Wolverine figure looks dorky no matter which head you put on there, or which hands you use. The body, however, is fantastic "Low budget" custom fodder, I'd imagine, and if you swap hands with Forge, a great "generic X-Men Uniform" figure (swap your head of choice on it!). However, I'm not a customizer, so......

Mr. Fantastic/Thing is the loser, but even then it's not completely without merit. It's nice to see a "normal" Reed Richards again, though his head looks kinda dorky, and the Thing is a mild improvement over the Ronan BAF wave. Plus, between this pack and the Torch/Invisible Woman pack in the next wave, we'll have a "unified" FF (in terms of costumes) for the first time in a long time.

DC is dumb. MARVEL is better.

very childish post.

but very true :P

It is true.

i could care less if you state your opinion, the way you did it was childish. what makes this true? i love marvel, but i cant see whats so stupid about DC

how is dc stupid???

i mean i like marvel as much as the next guy but you gotta give dc some props ( :P )

they got some cool characters, plus to me, they got a more "super hero" feel to them.

Yeah, I was just wondering if anybody has found them yet or new info on when they will be coming out.

Well Hasbro Toy Shop had the Electra Skrull Variant 2-pack listed for weeks as Coming Soon. Now, it's gone. Freakin' frackin. That's the kind of thing to make a nerd go all up in your face. I was hoping I wouldn't have to hunt that piece cause I just don't have the time. Would have been an awesome nod to collectors to say "Here. We know this piece is really only for massive geeks, so we're making it readily available direct to you."

Well, at least Mattel is doing it right.

GEEK

I am drawn to Marvel characters because each of them has an interesting character trait that comes close to some human frailty or weaknessand the ability to overcome them. And they don't have a full package of superhuman powers like for example Superman. Iron Man is a normal human who derived his abilities from his inventive genius and is at one time was an alcoholic. The Hulk, well he was this very gifted but frail scientist that has anger/ stress management problems. And Spider-Man has his exciting powers while at the same time trying to cope with regular teenage struggle of turning into adulthood. More so with X-Men and their own individual issues. The Sentry is another perfect example, a psychotic waiting to happen. And Dr. Doom, he's just awesome !

every comic book uses the same ideas at different points. any topic or point that you can make about marvel, i can make about DC. they both have been around since forever, and havent lost a step yet.
