I'm begining to think they seem to share the base figure and added some wrinkles on the costume for Johnny Storm and Daredevil and some added sculpt for chest muscle strain for the Surfer. Only the head sculpts and boots seem to be the major deviation for each of them. And it looks like the new Vision would be the same body sculpt as well (more on the Surfer's) and Ben Reilly SM (with painted webs and larger head sculpt).

if you have them(johnny/surfer) youll know that theyre not the same....or youre just looking too hard. but then again....i could be wrong.

I actually have that FFML Silver Surfer and regret that he is so much puny compared to my other ML figures. I don't even want to display him next to them because of the scale disparity (head size, lack of heft/height). And when I look at the Johnny Storm that warm the pegs in my local Wal-Mart, I don't feel bad I did not open my pocketbook for that figure at all. Excuse my French, but Johnny is such a small turd.

OK, I just saw the HML 2-Pack Elektra. She looks better in the face and the leg articulation but everything else on the Series IV looks better. I hope the billy club for HML Daredevil resembles Ronin nunchukas
