A Final Legends Wave

I've just been thinking, with all the talk and speculation about legends coming to an end or being phased out for the 3 3/4" figures, what would other collectors want in one final wave of legends? 8 figures, 6figures, build-a-figure, etc.

 

Personally, I'd like a wave of 8 figures:

- Warpath (X-Force with classic variant)

- Phoenix (Icons style with Dark Phoenix variant)

- New Captain America

- New Thor

- Spider-Man (Brand new sculpt, Head & hands in scale, Blue & Red not Black & Red)

- Modern Luke Cage

- Deadpool (rerelease)

- Chameleon

 

BAF: I'm not sure either a large scale figure like Stature (proportional in size to the Giant-Man figure), or Guiodo/Strong Guy, Dragonman.

I don't know if I'd like a whole wave, but I have wanted AoA Sinister & Morph. Is Dark Beast really big enough to be a BAF? He's not bigger than regular Beast is he?

The rest of the wave is sick though.X man would be a really cool toy, and there's only 1 magneto thus far.

First Appearance Storm-the promos looked amazing and we know she's ready to roll!!

Chameleon-Spidey's first super villian finally deserves a fig, make mine in a business suit with interchangable JJJ, Robbie Robertson and Norman Osborne heads!!

Valkrye-another good looking figure we know is ready to roll that would complete my early Defenders team.

Classic Ultron-my Avengers villians will never be complete without him.

Arcade-I realize I'm probably the only one who wants him, but it is my list!!

Jocasta-as my Avengers choice b/c I think she would make an interesting ML, but I'd be just as happy w/a USAgent figure.

Terrax-with the slight edge over Medusa as my FF choice.

My last figure is a toss up between a Rogue remake or Nighthawk from the Defenders.

I'm trying to look at this from a practicle standpoint. I don't think hasbro would release a wave unless they had certain staple type characters that they would be sure would sell to collectors as well as an average kid or parents & relatives looking for a gift, characters like Wolverine, Spidey, Iron Man, Captain America. Just about everyone knows who these guys are now a days.

 

But if I were to pick a "dream" wave to be the last it would be:

1.) Scarlet Spider (NOT Ben Reilly Spider-Man) or the Spider-Man I mentioned before

2.) Pete Wisdom (with hot knives hand)

3.) Constrictor

4.) New Thor

5.) Crystal (Avengers variant)

6.) Starlord (Annihilation Conquest w/ Rocket Racoon)

7.) Madrox (w/ trench coat, variant with M tatoo, no coat)

8.) Jackpot

BAF: I would stick with Stature.

 

I know there is no way in hell this wave would ever be made, but I like to think my first one would have a shot.

I would like to see unreleased or b-list characters get their due rather than more first appearance figures (Storm), alternate costumes (Jean Grey), new scultps (Magneto) and re-releases (Deadpool, Phoenix) and so on............

 

I just don't see this being the end for Marvel Legends, as there are too many characters left to be made that people would be willing to spend money on.

 

Let's not forget the many alternate reality versions/costume changes left to be made of Wolverine, Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, etc.....

hmmmmm?, all great ideas, I think as long as the last wave goes out with a bang, that has people talking about in forums like this, who cares really?, as long as the figures are fantastic sculpts that depict the comic likeness, I'll be happy : )

Ah yes, I like the Surtur idea... but Hasbro won't make him as they will see him as a demon/devil figure. Say, anyone thought of asking Marvel Select to continue the BAF line since Hasbro has 86'ed it? They make great sculpts, apply awesome paint apps and are always doing an all around great job on the figs they release. I'm sure they're are all kinds of 'rights' issues... alas.

I'm all about an Arcade figure. That would be wicked. Gives me a good idea for a new custom actually.
