The Positive Side To It All......

Recommended Posts

Here's a reality check on things you can think about if Hasbro actually Stops producing 6 inch ML Figures and really focuses their minds on 3.75 AKA 3 &3/4 AKA 1:18 scale marvel figures .

1."Scale" , Other then this possible argument, I don't see any other reason, other then perhaps some playsets. Besides the scale will still be off for figures like Galactus next to Giantman. So now since the main figures are smaller the scale is more acceptable? Thanks for at least finding this prize at the bottom of the cracker jack box.

2. "Money" , I can pay $7 for less articulation and terrible sculpts/paint jobs instead of $11 for significantly better products? Isn't that a little high priced for a $7 turd? (A turd by any other name or smell is still just a turd.)

3. "Customizing" , Yea cuz it will be sooo much easier to see smaller parts and try to make them fit. Have you tried customizing before? That size will be a b*tch to do.

4. "Possible Vehicles & Playsets" , This is only because the toy company doesn't think we will buy these playsets. If they did a vote and had an "write in option" and ALL of us typed in Avengers Quinjet ftw, and it out voted every other product on there, do you think it might have a possibility of being made? Just curious what you think about that since to my knowledge it has never been tried by our community. Plus keep in mind that what Hasbro/Toybiz has been telling us about product pricing has been BS all along. Mattel is proving that on a daily basis with the product they keep putting out. Best Sculpts out there, articulations, BAF and Hasblow gives us this crap about "Oh the price is to high to add BAF so we need to raise the price to $15 to put out just one toy" . WTF ever dude, turn that license over to Mattel and see what happens...

5. "Interaction" Don't we have this already with DCUC, LCBH, BBi, Buffy, Matrix, etc? So we should give this up for dreams of having my Hulk toy smash some clone troopers? Or of having a small Indiana toy whisk in on a playset and save my Storm toy from certain doom of Darth Vader? Cmon my toy fantasies really just go to about Hulk vs Superman or Avengers vs JLA and thats about it. Hulk as Darth Vaders' apprentice just isn't one of them.

6. "Space" , Call me crazy but perhaps you dont need 100 clone troopers? Space is relative, if you dont have the space, sell some junk to make the space. If you can't sell stuff or don't want to, get a storage unit, borrow a friends garage, c'mon it can't be that hard to get more room.

Now these are just some of my opinions in answer to your post. I am not targeting you or anyone specifically, just the flow of thinking you are giving to us. Your logic while positive to you, does not work for me to accept the loss of 6" ML style figures on a regular basis or switching to a 2 packs scenario. I want my ML 6" toys damn it, and nothing is going to justify them going away or cutting back on the product, NOTHING!

Are you saying that this doesn't look cool ? and that having Alot of the other Avengers surrounding Giantman won't look cool .........

And asfor Customizing , Yes I customize all the time , and it is sometimes alot easier to work with 3&3/4 figures then with 6 inch figures.... apparently you have never customized small figures before......but I don't blame you some people are used to just doing big figure, some people are just used to doing small figures ....I am good at working on both..... but when it comes to molding, painting, swapping parts, and finding accessories, 3.75 figures are alot easier.

In my opinion, marvel legends always has a couple of sh**ty action figures in the waves.

Examples: Emma Frost, more X3 characters, and take a look at Adam Warlock and Black Bolts articulation (sorry i have to say this again Ninjak) but it's horrible!

Never, ever have I heard that working on something smaller was easier then working on something bigger, especially when referring to the dimensions we are talking about. Well I take that back, perhaps in the world of construction or the porn world working on something smaller might be easier then working on something bigger. Do you work in the world of porn or construction? Just checking, but man you must have some amazing eye site to work on those tiny pieces. Hmm wait a sec I bet you use one of those magnifiers or glasses and the parts NEVER EVER fall off/out and land on the floor somewhere. Hell even if they did I bet with your amazing eye site or magnifier you would be able to see them virtually instantly..........I really hope you are feeling the sarcasm being thrown your way. I painted, crafted, and customized Warhammer figures for years. Please do not ever tell me those little freakin things are easier to mess with then something in the 6" size. Otherwise I am gonna have to call bs. Sometimes they may be easier but the MAJORITY of the time, hell naw.

In reference to your picture, do they all look cool bunched around Giantman, yes. Do they individually look cool looking at them each? No, "I just dropped a flapjack in my shorts, Hulk"

Do they look equally cool if not better with the 6" figures bunched around? Awesomeness all over. EVeryone looks cool posed all tough.

Lastly I would like to point out the fact that no one disputes the fact that ML has released some turds. Most of the female figures have been plain flushable. However, the scale is the main portion of this issue. When toybiz did their xmen line, everyone asked for a 6" figure line, and eventually we got it. Other companies have gone to 7", mostly unsuccessfully or hits n misses per figure/lines. 5" is dead, why go even smaller to a line ONLY popular for GI Joe and Star Wars. Just to try and get you to SPEND more on what is perceived as crossover nonsense. I for one can do fine in the 6" and other companies that support it. Anyone else feel me here?

I can only guess 3 3/4" will be easier to customize because there are far more spare parts? Meaning, not a lot of sculpting is necessary?

well there was never 1 single toy\figures line without stinkers.. but the thing is we already collected MLs for years and its annoying to start collecting again just cause hasbro wants us to. I dont mind them doing new sizes aslong as we get our normal ML fix.

I agree, i will be collecting the MU figs and at the same time, nit picking through the good mls
