I actually asked Mattel about this in a Q&A about a year or so ago. They said that even if both companies signed on for the idea, their licenses still wouldn't cover the Amalgram universe. They also said that the only way figures based on that universe can be produced is if Marvel or DC gave either Hasbro or Mattel the license.

oh, well i guess that squashes the idea. I'd just like to have a few of the characters and knew they hadnt been done. Oh well.

Yeah when Mattel uses the exact same body for 55 figures in a row. Great work 4 horsemen! Too bad Mattel gave you a budget of a $100 to work with.

yet you have no problem buying DCU figs. i rather have mattel give me one of the dcuc bodies, than hasbro giving me a figure with doc samson, or hydra articulation.

Yeah I think the mattel are far better looking and have better articulation than anything hasbro has made.

ya would be cool

but i doubt it will ever happen since the characters lost their hype

I know they have lost their hype for the moment. But if they were to do it again, and it did fairly well i would think they would try to capitalize on that in some way. even if it was just the "a" characters. A "darkclaw" would be pretty awesome. Though personally i would prefer the assassins (elektra and catwoman)
