3 3/4" sighting and hauls

Went back out (grabbed the wrong War Machine on last trip) and found a skrull soldier hidden in the back of the pegs.

So to sum up today...

Grabbed a second regular Archangel (two more were in the store), A Mandarin, Ultimate Iron Man, Whiplash, Comic book War machine and Modern version, Skrull Soldier and a Ghost Rider.

My wallet cries, but today was a good day... just wish they weren't 8.99 each... cheaper than shipping though.

Dragonkings, what's the name/location of said "hole-in-the-wall variety store?"

in the North Bronx... King's variety.

I do also know another one in Washington heights named Hobbyland that I grabbed a Warpath from a while back (missed or wasn't looking for a VISION at the time, could kick myself) that has the Ironman and Marvel Universe figures too fairly frequently but the local kids visit it often too. It's why sometimes the pegs will have the random rare.

Def right, dragonkings. It's not what it used to be. TRU Times Square isn't even worth hitting, at least 90% of the time. At this rate, comic stores are the best (yet expensive) option. Thanks for the tip. I think your north Bronx location is safe.

BTW, this weekend, I hit a Walmart and Target in Southington, CT. The usual suspects for Marvel U. Green Goblin, Spidey, Iron Men from many waves back. Target had the newest Comic Packs (Sentry, Phoenix, etc.) but I already have those. TRU Express in Plainville, CT had zilch as well--literally--though I snagged some DCUC figures (Batman & Martian Manhunter).

Finally saw the new comic packs today at Target. Love the Spidey, but not enough to pay for Sentry too. Wanted the Cap/Wolvie set but it's a huge let down - the claw marks on the shield are just paint aps! I could do that! I guess it was foolish of me to think they'd actually sculpt them on. Oh, well. Passed on them. But I'm glad to know they're restocking again.

HasbroToyShop has Sea and Air Drones. I picked up 1 of each.

The local TRU express had a ton of Wolverine Movie Figures but it did not look like anything desirable was left.

Also, my local Target was completely out of Iron Man figures for some reason even though they had about 12 pegs full a week ago. Has anyone else seen this?

I checked the end caps and nothing there either.

Maybe a good Samaritan bought them all and donated them (wishful thinking)

went to toys'r'us express, and nada.

then went to toy'r'us in co-op city and found out at the customer service desk that earlier somebody came by and they brought out all the new cases for him and he picked and chose EVERY RARE, new and variant then left the crap behind... (2 for 10.99 remember?)

she smiled apologetically and I just walked away...

....I asked many times for ANY employee willing to even look in the back for anything and always got the "whatever's out...." response....(including earlier in the week)

Ah well......

just wasn't meant to be.
