3 3/4" sighting and hauls

HTS doesn't list the variants separately. And since they get product from the same cases that other merchants do, it's almost guaranteed that these are the recent variants.

The case that has been hitting my local target has both Thanos and Vision in it. If the above statement were 100% true, then Thanos probably would have been in stock today too, but he wasnt..Anyone else with experience ordering variants on HTS?

Hey all,

It looks they put some new stuff at HTS. There's a Jean Grey in there and if you look, you can find Vision in stock as well.

~Magus

good lookin out, Magus. i grabbed 2x Vision and a Black Panther. im hoping one of the Visions is reg. *fingers crossed* Use promo code HTS10 for 10% off. ;)

I do what I can, Ogun. I hope everyone that snagged a Vision is getting a variant. There wasn't anything posted that I needed though. I need a new regular Warpath to replace the one I messed up trying to fix the loose arms mine has. Super glue and time were my enemies.

BadxGuy, there are multiple revision cases, so some have Thanos and Vision and others only have vision. Go to Entertainment Earth to check out the breakdowns.

And for those of you who think you are getting a normal Vision from HTS, I think it has been proven that the clear vision is the running change. There have been no reports of the normal Vision showing up....

the vision is back up on HTS. looks like they will be offering some more figs today. I ordered another vision, jean grey and moon knight.

He's already out of stock. That didn't last long. Ha ha

WOW! that lasted a whole 7 minutes!!!

Because people get on HTS and order 3-5 of the same figures @ a time to scalp on ebay. I always see people crying about the lack of marvel u figures. Given the quality of most of these figures and the amount of retailers they are available @ I wouldn't say the issue is with a lack of production, it's an issue with over buying with intentions to scalp.

while I agree that purchasing from the websites of multiples of the same figure can hurt collectors (especially limited edition figs), I do feel that Hasbro chooses to do it this way. I find it very hard to believe that the manufacturer does not have access to the figs for their own website. They know that, say, vision, is selling huge all over the country. Yet they refuse to put up more than a couple at a time on their website. I cannot believe for a minute that if hasbro wanted to put more up, they could'nt.

And with that I drop the scalper arguement as it has been flogged to death. :spidey_deadtopic:

I agree Hasbro could put up more if they wanted, but supply vs. demand would ruin their ability to sell the figure at the rate it sells @ now. If every figure was easily accessible because Hasbro over produced them then they would take a loss on this line of action figures. They turn a bigger profit by making a few of their popular figures every now and then and sitting back and watching them sell out in under 7 mins. The scalper is conducive to Hasbro's business because they set the demand for the figure in the secondary market which is what Hasbro WANTS to happen. Because they produce these figures for pennies on the dollar, I promise you they keep a closed fist on product for keen business purposes, not because they care about overworking the underpaid laborers in China and Indonesia.

I don't feel that the scalper sets the demand so much as the collectors and distribution. I'm not saying that in some areas scalpers are not a problem, but in most cases it is not. A lot of the complaints I see blaming scalpers are also in areas with low distribution. Remember, you are not the only collector in the area, and kids buy a lot of figs too. I see it all the time. Actual quote from Walmart yesterday over a Thanos from an 8 year old - "look mom, I don't have that one! He looks cool!!! BUY HIM FOR ME PLEASE!!!!!" (BTW she did  )

anyone who has collected HASBRO for any length of time, or is on these and other similar boards know that eventually these figs will become available through the hasbro website or retail (unless it is a con or subscription promo, or not being manufactured any more). It is more a matter of the collectors having the patience to wait for it, and the effort to keep checking up on if they are available.

I know that for months I only saw, and picked up, 1 thanos. yet in the last two weeks I ordered one off of the hts website, and have seen 5 in local stores (wally, TRU, disney and Target), of which I picked up one. same with sunfire. I saw him once at retail (and didn't follow my own advice, if you see it, BUY IT!!), but picked him up a month later off of hts.

I also feel that allot of collectors are frankly lazy or misdirecting their efforts. (I am not calling anyone out, and this is not directed at any individual or person on this board). I happen to live in an area that seems to have good distribution, therefore I have the ability to grab almost everything at retail without to huge of an expense for gas and travel. I make sure to be friendly with the staff and find out when shipments come in so i don't waste my time going over and over to stores day after day that wont receive in a shipment. If I go to a store that has had the same 4 or 5 figs sitting on the pegs I find the manager and let them know that they have not gotten any new stock in for several weeks or months. Most of the time when I do this, I get a thank you from the manager, as they didn't even know they needed to order more (especially at Wallyworld). I do a lot of "work" to keep up on my "hobby". But I see ALOT of complaints about no MU available in many peoples areas. All I have to say is PREORDER!!

I know some people will complain that its more expensive (usually only by a couple bucks, which when you add in gas and time of hunting on your own is equal to or cheaper), but if there is no way for you to get them in your area because no one in your area carries them, or moves enough stock too restock on a regular basis (and from the number of complaints I see on this and other websites this is a fairly common occurrence), than this is the fastest, easiest and cheapest way to guaranty you get them. It is not just a matter of going out and looking, but of directing your efforts in the way that will work for your situation. If you follow these simple rules you will NEVER have to worry about "scalpers" again.

It is scalpers..... us it seems. aside from the usual scalper nonsense.

I see page after page of out I bought "2 or 3 extra for trade" i have it already but if anybody wants to trade blah, blah, blah.

it's seems we may have the best of intentions but we are probably screwing each other over because of this.... just a observation.

BTW: if any of you over purchasers score a regular vision and want to trade please let me know.

I'm not trying to piss anyone off but it does kind of suck when I tell my friend, who only wants a handful of specific characters, that Thanos is available online and 3 min later he's gone because everybody else has bought 2, 3 or 4 of him. I like to think that people on here though, buy them for trading and not selling on eBay.

I personally don't like buying online. Not only is it more expensive (BBTS Preorder - $69.99 for 5 figs + shipping = about $15 per figure. I can buy 10 figures for that price in stores) but the paint apps are usually so hit or miss I hate to get stuck with a Captain Aamerica that looks like Sloth from the Goonies (which just happened to me). But that's the nature of collecting.

Even Indiana Jones has to deal with grave robbers. It makes finding your treasure all the more rewarding.

Ooo, that's good. I might put that in my sig. haha.

i put a bunch of random MU figures in my cart and put a qty at 5 each to see what would happen. I limits them all to 2 some people must be using multiple HTS accounts

I don't have to worry about "scalpers" to be honest. I could pay ebay prices all day and not think about it because I agree that the convince factor will always rule over paying retail price especially when gas is about $4.00 a gallon in most places. To be honest I don't have a problem getting Marvel U figs. I just started collecting in January and have most of the figs that people who have been collecting since 2009 don't have. So I know that I have been very blessed in that regards. Personally I can't complain, mainly because I do ALOT of the things you stated above. Like I was @ Target just browsing and ran into the zone manager got Toys and was talking to her about how big the Marvel universe figures following was and how her store liquidates stock better than any store in town. She scanned the peg and saw they only had 4 figs left and remembered they had JUST got restocked that week, and boom ordered another case. Which they got this week and is already half way gone. So I agree a lot of what you say is right.

But I do know in some areas scalpers hurt peoples chances of getting good figures, one of our own members daughter was physically hurt by a scalper running them down to get to a couple of fresh revision cases! Not only did dudes daughter get hurt but the scalper also got TWO visions and some other stuff. It will probley be months before they get restocked again. . On the same ticket those people could easily have these figures on sites like ToysR4Smiles and if they hunted HTS and other sites more often.

LOL. That was pretty good. At times I get mad over "scalping" and "over buying" but at the end of the day if I was able to get every figure I wanted, when I wanted, half of the joy of collecting would be gone. The chase is what makes me love the hobby of collecting.

Thats why I stated in most situations. there are always bad seeds and a**holes in any business and hobby, but I have not found that to be the case with most "scalpers". ... And that douche got exactly what he deserved by being arrested.

hopefully it will teach him to stop being an ass, but I have found that people like him were an ass way before they became a scalper.

im just rollin the dice on the two Visions i snagged. more than likely they will be clear, and my extra will be up for grabs. i think i would get physically ill if, Hasbro got reg. Visions and i missed him. i still dont have reg. Archangel, i missed him three times he was briefly available on hts.

It would suck badly if it is a Phasing Vision when they have a Regular Vision listed on the site. I would probley call Hasrbo and complain to be honest. I was not luck enough to order one, but if they are available again I will. I need a regular vision and a phasing since I traded that one to my buddy. But the Reg is a priority.
