Jason1551, did you get my pm about the DD BE 2 pack? I have one if you need it .

I did. I'm waiting to see how my eBay auction goes, though, as I really only need Daredevil. I'll send a PM if I don't win, though.

I'll be honest, it took at least half a season for me to warm up to Matt Smith's Doctor Who. However, once I did, he was pretty awesome. "A Good Man Goes To War" was fantastic, and even the recent "City of Angels" showed that he does quirky well. In contrast to Eccleston, who was manic yet laidback, and Tennant, who really got bipolar by the end of his run and almost insane with power, Smith really seems to play up the wonder and awe of traveling through time. Even mundane activities like reading and eating are pure entertainment because of how he plays them up, and his childlike qualities are more like fun little quirks rather than irksome ticks. He isn't my favorite of the recent Doctor Who's, but he's certainly grown into the role over the past few seasons and has done an admirable job considering how big the shoes were that he had to fill.

The first Dr Who show I watched was the one Matt took over, and I thought it was interesting but I made the decision to start watching the shows prior and Tennant just became the face of the doctor to me. I think I'll warm up to him too, i just haven't given him the chance. It's a weird thing to transition to a new actor when you're so used to another one.

But that's part of the joy of the Doctor, the changing of actors keeps it fresh! :P Having new actors and writers does the series wonders. It doesn't end when someone gets too old or finds a new role, the episodes are almost always interesting and different, and you get to see how each person is going to make the Doctor their own. I just grabbed a few of the old serials (60s-80s old) to get a feel for the Doctors of the past.

Still nothing in this part of the world on figures though, but the good news is my new Doctor Who addiction gives me something to do during the dryspell.

Can't argue that.

I got the WM/QS pack at North St. Paul Target a few months ago. I haven't seen any others, but I haven't been out looking much. I'll let you know if I come across any in the course of Xmas shopping.

Checking my comic store tomorrow to see if they have anything I really need in figures. They're only a buck or two above retail, so I may cave and get one there, plus I like keeping him in business, good shop, lots of events and sales, plus he cuts me a deal on things I order. :D Gotta keep him around!

Oh, if anyone collects the movie monster figures, the Phantom of the Opera has 2 versions, Toys R Us has one with the mask/hat/music stand, comic shops get one with the organ and unmasked.

Has the Wonderman / Quicksilver pack been in wide release? I have never even seen this thing.

I've seen it at a couple of Targets in the Pittsburgh area.

Eleven Doctors Figure Set

Walked into Marshalls (and Ross) looking for comic colored Sentinel, walked out with a staff strike sif!

I don't care to own it, so it's available for trades. Bubble is a little smashed in the corner, so it's good for openers!

Scarabus,

Exclusive figure made and sold direct by the 4 horsemen.(dudes behind Motu at mattel and a lot of the Mcfarlane stuff back in the days)

Articulation is great and lots of alternate hands, staff parts and alternate faces.

I plan to use him as a giant demon/nephilim for my collection.

Who is the Egyptian dude?

I was wondering that too. He's tits!

Scarabus was my favorite but there is a whole line of

Egyptian Deities and demons variants...from the 4 horsemen..Gothitropolis

The Fwoosh did a review of all of them,

here are some pics I borrowed...

I love the Azazel, Horus and Anubos too.

nothing new around here in MU. Stopped by Kmart around 9:30 this am so my youngest son could get the new Cars2 stuff. They only had one new car. Supposedly opened the cases at 9 am and there's nothing there 30 minutes later? The ladies at the service desk said there was only one guy there so far this morning. One guy. cleaned out all but one car. ticks me off. All of you who think scalping is perfectly legit.... yes, tell that to a nine year old who can't get new stuff because some slob hoarded them to make people support his whopper addiction.

My only consolation was seeing another known scalper showing up as we were leaving. Of course, he might have also been there earlier and came back for something else (like the three Catwoman figures), but I prefer to think that he missed out entirely - even if that's not the likely scenario

As for Four Horsemen stuff, I prefer the Seventh Kingdom stuff. I got some of the Scarabus figures too, but I love all the animal warriors they did. I wish they would continue. The prototype for the Raven figure was totally awesome, and then I saw another bird type warrior was displayed at a can this past year. Still nothing available from them though.

Wish they'd stop the stupid "outerspace men" junk and get back to some cool animal people again.

I hate when greedy people be they Scalpers, hoarders or even well meaning collectors buying everything for others (seriously have you seen toy intervention or extreme couponers...scary) empty out a store leaving nothing behind for other people who live in the neighborhood or nearby is callous. good Kids (sorry hate spoiled brats), then collectors, then whatever.....that should be the order.

But Yeah it may be a post you made that turned me on to 4 Horsemen,

I would love them to do some dragonmen/demons or other animals. that Raven did look cool as heck, would make a fantastic Tengu for my collection.

I'm not a big Elephant person so the line of a half dozen or so Elephants, rhinos etc...looked amazing but wasn't my taste..Although that minotaur may become a future acquisition.

If they explored more reptilian,Avian, and mythological humanoid hybrids, I'd be there. I still have my Stan Winston Realm of the claws and love those. Heck even the name Seventh Kingdom seems to cry out to Realm of the Claw in a weird way. I Kick myself for selling my Extreme Gargoyles when I was in need of space and serious cash a few years ago.

And yeah, not a fan of their Alien stuff either.
