Hi guys,

I've really enjoyed all your customs. They really inspired me to make my own. I was really into G.I. Joe, but seeing all the Marvel Universe stuff really sucked me back in. Reminded me how much more I enjoy comics.

Here's what I've made so far....

Spider Man Noir

Deadpool Pulp

Cyber

Okay, that Spider-Man Noir made me feel things below my waist that were confusing/exciting.

Seriously man, that thing is beautiful. Wish that you worked for Hasbro so that we could get that one out on the shelves!

I need some advice from you guys. I recently bought a Classic Storm figure off of ebay. It had the same flaws that we have seen before...I'm sure that our seller got her from the same QC reject pile, heh heh. I have replaced her brown feet with a Baroness' feet and repainted her hair white. The figure had a very dark gray wash on the hair that I hated. I also added a jewel to the front of her cape. So far I'm pleased.

My question is this: What advice can anyone give me on how to complete the yellow trim around her cape? I'm aware that such a light color will be tough to put on top of black. It is also going to be tough to paint such a thin line. Is tape the answer?

Here's a pic WIP:

Paint it white first then yellow multiple coats.

Most here have already seen my Magneto custom. Now I made him unmasked. Helmet is still under construction but both will be available soon.

Hey Onyx I was wondering could you make a helmet for your Tony head too? I keep looking at the IM figs, and their heads are kind of too small.

Amen! I hope he does one for Extremis. The head seems a little on the small side. I would love a helmet that came on and off. That would Legend....wait for it.....Dary!....sorry been watching How I Met Your Mother lol

Well, I have a new found respect for you customizers. My attempt to give Storm gold trim was a disaster. The yellow bled all under the tape even though I thought I had it completely down. Then I had to use a permanent marker to blacken over it again. Yellow over black = HARD.

Anyhow this is what it looks like now... not horrible, but not perfect:

Chaz- something that I like about this hobby is the amount of stuff there is to learn. Yellow over black is hard. It's one of my least favorite things to paint. As is white over dark colors. Don't be discouraged- it looks better than Hasbro'll paint it.

If you go to Hobby Lobby, near the models, you can pick up Model Masters Acryl Gray Primer. Make sure it says Acryl and not enamel. Made that mistake once and kinda sucked cause my nearest Hobby Lobby is 2 hr drive.

Does Storm still have the problem of non-movable arms? Did they soften the plastic for the cape?

No... I got mine from bluesduff2008 (Jimmy's Toy Shop or something similar) on Ebay from China. I know it was at least the second one he has popped up with and my best friend keeps teasing me that they'll probably shoot the guy if they catch him stealing from the quality control reject pile at his factory. Haha...like I need any MORE guilt in my life.

But sadly, mine is just as immovable as yours, Yenmaster. I'm tempted to free her by clipping her at the wrists.
