Onyx just sent me the Baron Zemo head he made. I love it!!!!

I opted to go with the more subdued color for the mask like he has in the animated cartoon right now and, mostly due to parts, gave him the outfit he had on the counter earth story of Thunderbolts. I always thought it was a good mix of classic and bad ass.

I also included my new Scourge (Nuke), Black Widow II, and revised Crossbones.

yeah... sorry everything is sideways.... Just tilt your head to the side and it looks perfect.

Looks awesome! How do you guys manage to outline eyes with black like that? I'm going to make a Psylocke head in preparation for the new MU Psylocke and I want to give her that heavy eyeliner look. Is there a preferred tool for painting such a thin area on such a small scale?

I go about it a few different ways depending on my mood and whether it is a full moon or not.

Sometimes I will use a push pin or super thin brush and just go for broke and outline an already painted white eye.

Often though, I will just paint black over the entire eye and then add a slightly smaller oval of white on top of that to give the appearance of an outline.

In Zemo's case, I painted a black eye, then a white eye on top, then touched it up with a pin or brush.

That said, I am a really lazy and careless painter. I am sure there is a better way to go about this but I refuse to educate myself on the matter.

Glad you enjoyed my work!

For Scourge I used a Serpentor head from the 25th anniversary GI Joe line, and a Shadow Tracker mask from the Pursuit of Cobra Joe line. You can't see it, but I made the strap from just some spare plastic. If I had my druthers about me, I would have made it removable and given him the badass Nuke head, but I wasn't sure how to give him the android look so I copped out.

One thing I have to do is repaint the black on the mask as it was more of a dark gray green in the comics.

Ghost head is cobbled together from a half dozen helmets and heads.

Moonstone is a Penelope Cruz head from Pirates of the Caribbean with Ms. Marvel hair.

Thunderbolts is my favorite book too :) I am currently working on Paladin but having trouble with the head. Parts for Fixer and Mach V are being compiled. Fixer just will require a lot of sculpting which intimidates me but I know it will have a big payoff. Oh man, and then Ant-Man... And the current Thunderbolts Shocker.. Argh. So much to do...

I gotta post my Penance and Radiation Man. I think my favorite run was about #110-130ish. That team with Bullseye, Songbird, Moonstone, Chen, Penance and Venom, with Osborn at the helm. I loved their clashes with Jack Flag, American Eagle (badass) and Steel Spider.

Thunderbolts customs I have made:

Ghost

Bullseye

Radiation Man

Penance

Luke Cage

I will make it a priority to get some pics up this week.

Your stuff is sick. I'm sure you've thought of this, but the Marvel Legends Man-Thing looks great with the 'Bolts.

I am pretty sure Hasbro people look at this thread here, especially after I saw Legend's She-Hulk and then a She-Hulk arrived at SDCC. Anyway, I hope the Hasbro people are looking at the thread right now and that they can see all the Ghost customs. Hope that message reaches them.

Great job, guys. Thunderbolts need the MU love!

That ghost is AWESOME! really spotr on! can you share your recipe bro?

Thanks. The recipe is pretty simple. I took a Star Wars Clone Wars Aurra Sing, grinded off the butt, boobs and hips. The elongated hands, skinny arms and frame were just too good to pass up. Then I sculpted on the helmet and straps. I did not completely gear up his wrist gauntlets like he appears in Thunderbolts these days. But I might do that sometime.

That's gorgeous. Radioactive Man and Penance. There's two characters we will never see in plastic, for reasons of political correctness. Well, Penance, certainly.

Political correctness?

If they aren't made, I would put it down to obscurity. The names themselves aren't going to upset anyone. I mean, seriously, if that were the case, most of the Transformers' names would have never made it past the concept stage.

And the designs for the characters are pretty tame compared to other things Hasbro has put out (melting faces, skeletons, bondage gear Cobra Commander/Baroness).
