yikes Rod, 10 is a bit high but coming with sleeves is really cool.

I do understand how the $10 looks on the surface. I just have to give you a little info on this. What you might not realize, when we custom sculpt, mold, and cast these things, we don't have access to a production line like Hasbro that rolls out thousands of them at once and keeps cost rock bottom.

We have to pay for pretty expensive molding and casting materials, not to mention the work and time that goes into this.

When you add up all the time Rodimus spent on these, then subtract what he paid for materials, he's making around minimum wage per hour probably. I know because I've explored this myself and done some custom casting especially of late.

What it all boils down to I guess, custom figures are expensive. And when you've done this process yourself, it really makes you understand just how lucky we are that a huge company like Hasbro is pumping out these figures in the MU for us. And it makes you realize what Rodimus is charging for these parts is actually quite reasonable.

I appreciate what Rodimus has done here and I will be getting around to placing an order by the weekend.

yeah i understand all that, but it's more than i want to pay for an accessory.

Legend...I see you lurking...welcome back bro...now give us a taste of that ares you've been working on!

Lol! Im not back quite yet but after a pep talk from Onyx I'll be back soon.

BTW great job Rod, Im highly impressed. I definitely want to try some trench coats.

Thanks bro. It's great to hear you're doing a bit better, and I can't wait 'till your fully back.

At rodimus: screw the haters, can I get these thru you on here via PayPal?

Just click the Vortious' Custom Accessories link in my sig it'll take you to the store.

After the question of the price for the coat I looked on ebay to see what the price of the figure that originally came w/ this main coat piece is, there were 12 listed the lowest was $8.99+sh, and the highest U.S. listing was $30.20+sh, but you can only get the one figure from each seller at those prices, and you'll have a bunch of useless DCUIH parts left over. Then if you want sleeved arms you've got to settle for the DCUIH style arms, and break the figure open to get them into the body. I did decide to lower the price to $9 though I'm still only going to offer white, and black. For a leathery looking brown coat try dry brushing brown over the black coat. For a khaki looking coat try dry brushing brown, or tan over the white coat.

The coat AND arms for $9?! Sir, you have struck gold with that combo.

I'm going to have to buy a set in both black and white now. I've got a Future Foundation Reed Richards and an extra Moon Knight that I could use to make a Fantomex. All I need now is someone to do the paint

And the black set would work great for the Blade custom I've had on my shelf for the last few months. That CC coat looked great on him when I tried it, but the arms just looked too funky(seeing as how they were just dyed black).

The Moon Knight is a no go. This coat won't fit on that body. Trust me I tried, and it ripped. I will be listing a white version of the MU Blade coat like I did for my Fantomex, but I need to do a little more R&D on this coat to make sure it is perfect before I put it into the store. My Fantomex's coat developed an odd oily film (likely due to over use of the toner. I added too much black so I had to add a ton of white to lighten it). Though I think I've discovered the reason so I'm going to try again later this evening, and if it works right I'll have the large white, and large black coats into the store in the next few days.

This style of coat will fit the Future Foundation Reed Richards though.

If you guys have any questions about the products just send me a PM either here or on OPP (Vortious), or email me @ rodimusvts@yahoo.com

You can also get the gordon 3 pack for $9 shipped on amazon in which you could use the two police officers, but they really look bad to me.....

including the arms makes it a lot cooler, but i still think it's a high price. I think it's a high price to pay that much for hush or gordon just for the coat. But it's your store your time and your prices and it looks like you already have a few buyers lined up so don't feel the need to change the price on my account. It's nice to know there's another place to get em.

there's no hate here towards rod, there's hate that it costs so much for a jacket no matter who is making and selling em.

Bottom line is, Rod put a lot of time and effort into duplicating these. If you don't wish to pay the amount he is asking, don't buy them. It's that simple. I can't see his price going any further than what it has. That is a huge hunk of resin in the coat and each arm is the same amount of resin as two heads.

Yeah I also added the coats by themselves to the store for $7.50, and ones w/ bullet holes for $6.50. So you have lots of options if you want one. If not I guess that character that you're working on that should have a trench coat doesn't need one all that much. In the next couple weeks I'm going to be adding some capes, and some other really cool things as well.

Hey guys... I am wondering to custom a Fantomax figure , but I still can't choose which figure as the base , here is some of my choice

1. GI Joe Pursuit of Cobra City Strike Beachhead [urban Combat Specialist]

2. GI Joe Pursuit of Cobra Firefly [Cobra Saboteur]

Or you guys have other better choice ? :]

Neither one of those have the right musculature.

Here's the Marvel Legends version of him

Here's my custom MU version of him

I'd suggest to use a 25th Anniversary Firefly head on an MU body. I used the Moonknight body w/ the 25th Firefly head, and a cast of the MU Blade coat which I'm hoping to have in my store this weekend. Would be sooner, but I've got to work tonight, and tomorrow. However there is also the new white suit Ironfist, and the Future Foundation Reed Richards that would work just as well.

Okay, so I love anthropomorphic characters. So I'm predisposed to like Thundercats anyway, and I really want some more figures to go with them. I thought I'd make up some of my own. Here's my Blue Rhino Warrior (I'll come up with a name later) to go with them.

He's obviously a Marvel Spidey-line Rhino figure with MU Skaar's sword & sheath (wish he could hold the sword!) and I sculpted face armor since I wanted an actual rhino warrior and not some human dressed as a rhino. I think I'm gonna go ahead and add the knee armor too.

btw, this is my first attempt at sculpting even part of a figure. I've also done some torso changing to Redakai's Harrier to make my own Eagle/hawk type character. He's not as far along though.

This is also my first attempt at dry brushing. I did a base of gun metal gray with mahogany deck dry brush and then a tan dry brush on top of that for gradually lighter highlights. I need to go back and do a dark wash again to fix some of the shadow details though.

Armor is Angel Blue mixed with silver and then dry brushed with mahogany to make it dirtier. I might just go back and make it a "normal" metallic color though.

Minimum wage? SHEEEET! I wish it was that high.

These coats are pretty tight! Rod sent me one to test the waters! They're good stuff

Thanks bro.

Rodimus. would you consider casting commander rogers accessories/belts in white? would be cool to add those to customs to make them shield agents.

I do have those so I might give it a go after I remold the large trench coat.
