I guess my stuff just sucked.....

 

Magneto and storm?

 

Magneto - I don't like cloth capes capes or clothing because I think the look of it conflicts with the look of the figure. I think the torso is a bit narrow and slender, and the hair not quite wild enough. Do I think it sucked? no! despite my criticism I think he looks pretty good. I just would have done it differently.

 

Storm I like better than the single carded Hasbro one.

lol, yep it's pretty odd. I was perusing Spidey villains trying to think who would make sense with symbiotic enhancements and didn't like the idea of Doc Ock himself, but Lady Ock sounded interesting. Plus, I just liked the idea of replacing her "real" arms and legs with symbiotic tentacles.

Mainly it was just fun figuring out how to do it so I could pose them however I wanted and still support the figure plus whatever she was holding.

I gotta appreciate the DC tolerance I've witnessed! This was my first attempt at any kind of sculpting so I kept it confined to just the mask and overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, but it is great comments like I've received here that really makes the effort worthwhile, cheers!

I have the exact same custom in the works.. except my base is Bullseye instead of Cyclops. But I can't find a head that is good enough. Your head is great though

It was a gift from my brother. He got it on ebay. I just painted.I have no idea where it came from.

Looks like the Star War Jareel (sp?) Head or a cast. I think you can get the cast head on OPP, I've seen it used for a lot of psylocke's, looks way better than the original head

It's REALLY easy to miss customs when they first get posted. I know I tend to just click "last page" which sometimes means I'll miss a page or two of new pictures and comments.

The X-23 legs look good on that torso. I'd like to see it with a cape.

 

I'm not a fan of that Magneto figure anyway.. and I don't like cloth capes at this scale so not much to say on that figure.

That Green Lantern looks pretty sweet. Makes me drool and wish that Hasbro had both licenses of Marvel and DC. I would love to have an up to scale Justice League in the same quality of the Marvel Universe sitting right next to my Avengers and X-Men.

Nah, based on the picture of the figure people have been buying, the one without the headpiece, it looks like it just snaps into place. You can see the hole in the forehead.

 

Yeah I found my Havok this morning, but the head piece was glued on. So I twisted it, and now it's ready for cloning

 

 

Are you going to sell the clones in your store? I would love to buy one if you are.

Alright guys, I am no expert in writing or storylines, but I have been wanting to do something like this for a long time. I also loved the story arc "Old Man Logan"...if you havnt read this yet get on the ball, especially since it is digitized!

 

so here goes...

 

In my mind I thought of Old Man Logan, and I am basing these characters somewhat off of that...

 

But I think what might best put these two together would be a world in which Cap was never found. Villains rule in a ruthless manner....(again very Old Man Logan-ish)...Heroes are either dead, or fight alone and have been beaten down by the organized villains over and over.

 

Two have met up finally and here they are, roaming the country looking for other heroes to join up in a fight against villainy and a doomed world that dies more every second...

 

First is Mr. White AKA Logan, virtually un-killable, as he has an "uncanny" healing factor and his adamantium skeleton doesnt hurt either. 3 retractable claws pop out of his fists if you dont mind your p's and q's around him, he has a short temper...also is on the united states top ten wanted list...BUB

Next is his partner in crime. Hawkeye. He was able to survive this harsh world solely on the fact that he is human, and is unidentifiable to federation lists that exist it an attempt to keep "do-gooders" from rising against the evil souls who have destroyed the country. He has a variety of specialized arrows he can put wherever he wants with his dead-aim accuracy, but doesnt limit his use to just his bow, he also is proficient with whatever weapon is at his disposal, he typically carries a few sidearms and an assault rifle to supplement his bow and arrows...

Together they know there are others out there...in the vast wasteland that is the united states, they both know it is only a matter of time before they find more like themselves who are tired of living in fear...

My Magneto Broke and I hate the SW pack one Soooooo made a new one.

 

Magneto:

Torch Torso

Winter Soldier Arms and Legs (Blues Match well) Xtra Havok Hands

Kept Webgear but cut Awful Plastic Cape off and added a Darth Vader Cape under webgear.

Painted SW head Black, so you can see his face

And reworked Quick Silver head...

 

Storm:

Boxset Torso with Paint stripped

New Single Arms and head

Xtra X23 Belt and legs.

May paint upper legs to match her skin, but dont know. It would give her the really high Boot look...

Need a New DarthVader cape to give her, but other wise she is done.

Legs work well and make her Taller....

 

 

 

Love that new mutant set.....

 

Cool, can you post some more pics of storm? I've been playing around with doing something similar to my Storm, but she always ends up looking too gangly and tall. Yours seemed to turn out right. Can you put her next to some other X-Men? Thanks!

I hate Green Lantern...somewhat. But your custom is awesome. very well done. very good likeness. excellent custom.

Hi guys, just a quick tip for those like me who were unhappy with Psylockes' head. Try use Jarael from Star wars. Its perfect!! I use it on mine and she looks like a proper Psylocke now.

I was doing some experimenting w/ a new mold that unfortunately didn't turn out right, and had some left over brown plastic mixed so I grabbed the Opening face mask IM head mold, and filled it thinking it'd be cool to have a Jim Rhodes version of the MKII armor to reenact the fight scene from IM2. I am also going to be hollowing out a War Machine head this weekend.

I've been wanting to do this custom for a while, so when I was out in my shed the other day looking for parts to cast, and came upon the DCUIH Cyborg fig I thought hmm let's see if it'll look as good as I think it will. So I took the head, and the collar from the DCUIH fig, and grabbed a Cyborg Rhodey War Machine fig off ebay, and put them together. The "sonic cannon" is a repainted cannon from the Cap Britain figure.

Can someone post a pic of Mohawk Storm with X-23 legs? Trying to figure out a way to make a decent Storm figure, and regular MU Storm on X-23 legs looks funny cause her heads too small.
