That's pretty much it, I don't preorder. Prices can change, preorders can be cancelled out from under you, releases can be delayed.

I prefer not to tie up my money, and to only order when what I want is "in stock."

Uhhhmmmm, your money doesn't get "tied up" with preorders. You don't get charged until the product in question comes in and you normally can cancel anytime.

I bet you balance your checkbook like my Mom used to.

I'm not the kind of guy that puts money in the bank on the 13th because a bill is due on the 14th. If I make a preorder, I make sure I have the money in the bank first. That money is then earmarked for the preorder and remains untouched until BBTS, Megalopolis, or whoever puts the charge through . . . that's just good bookkeeping. Hence, that money is "tied up."

As for cancelling anytime, if I don't have a preorder, I don't have to worry about cancelling it.

I've pre-ordered stuff occasionally in the past but have come around to Mako's way of thinking on this.  Additionally, have heard people talk about how WM's system screwed up and started charging people multiple times for the same order  of the Corvus 2-pack (basically charging them once every 24 hours) and had trouble straightening it out.. no thanks.

I envy your restraint.  I am much too impatient to not at least have the comfort of knowing that I have one on pre-order on back up somewhere.

I do the same with my pre-orders, but I use my PayPal account so either the money is taken out immediately or I update my spreadsheet and ensure that those funds are not touched until  after I know the pre-order has processed.  I've saved myself a good bit of headache pre-ordering though.  I do not have the ability to hunt at retail all that often and even though I have a job where I am at my computer most of my day, I do not have time to monitor all of the sites to see when stuff goes in stock.

Also, now with sites like Hasbro Pulse, I am paying exactly retail to have the figures I pre-order shipped directly to me.  The only catch there is that they do not allow you to use PayPal for those orders.

Have you tried the Paypal Business Debit Card? Works just like directly using your Paypal account, but since it's underwritten by Master Card, I can use it even where they don't accept Paypal (jeez, I sound like a commercial).

Anyway, you guys talked me into it, I just used mine to pre-order Hercules on Pulse. No problem.

Nice!  Pulse has been on the money.  I ordered a Mace Windu from there recently on a Monday and it was at my doorstep by Thursday.  If you can catch them when they go up and have premium it is well worth the order I think.

I just preorder with a credit card so no worries on money being taken out of an account. Pay it off a couple weeks after it’s charged and no issues. I don’t preorder everything though, just what I think will be hard to find or if it’s Hasbro Pulse because it’s the same as retail and no shipping cost for now.

Sorry in advance for the silly question but for anyone who's had experience with Hasbro Pulse (or HasbroToyShop before it), are they sticklers for release and street dates and available by dates? I've pre-ordered some figures from the Caliban wave and I see it's available by May 1st. If the Toys R Uss and Walgreens and Walmarts of the world release these before that date and actually allow people to purchase them, will HasbroPulse also release theirs or will they wait til the proper street date?

In the past when I ordered through HTS they shipped out faster than anyone else and the shipping was super quick too.  I have some of the Caliban preordered through pulse but so far I have only ordered a Mace Windu and it was never a pre-order, but I imagine that pulse will be closer to the street date than anyone else.

If your mom is the type of person who only orders/preorders knowing she has the money (no matter how far out in advance), handles all business 1st, doesn't live check to check and doesn't engage in an endeavor/hobby/practice that she knowingly can't afford, then I'm proud to be in the same company as she. If not, you better save that money you were going to use to bet on for your Legends.

Wow, talk about crackerjack timing! Less than four hours after I got the funds from my buyers payment released early by Paypal this morning (pays to keep your account in excellent standing), I find Endgame Marvel Legends are now available on Amazon at retail price, AND it was still early enough that my order would arrive tomorrow (thank you Prime).

For some odd reason, Hercules was marked "Usually ships in 2-3 weeks," so I only snagged Living Laser and Citizen-V. I can wait for my pre-order at Pulse for Herc.

Some days you DO get the bear.

What is that?  Some kind of eastern thing?

Old saying "Some days you get the bear, some days the bear gets you?"

Has anyone found Professor X at retail? I’m still looking for it.

I can't even find him on-line!

On that note, I dropped into Wally-World on my way to the Post Office. A bunch of Quantum-Suit Caps and some Captain Marvel leftovers, that's it.

I was quoting “The Big Lebowski”.  Sam Elliot says that saying in the movie and Jeff Bridges responds with the line I quoted.

just went to ol' Wal-Mart and of course they had not one single Legend, this Wal-Mart hasn't had a Legend since Sept 2018, when I found one Scream whom was body swapped with a Wonder Woman toy, why is Wal-Mart so awful always? the toy shelves looked like a scene from Mad Max, The EB Games though had the Endgame wave minus of course the ones people are going nuts for being Ebony Maw, Ronin & Herc, that Cap is a mad peg warmer it seems haha, and it seems so are Nighthawk and Citizen V (which I expected)

You know, my brother still insists I'm the only guy in the world who hasn't seen that movie.

Pulse order came in today, got Herc, Ebony Maw, Ronin, and Living Laser, all great figures.  Of course on the other hand something weird happened and my Corvus Glaive and Loki 2 pack is "delayed" from Walmart, no idea when that will ship.  If you ordered one, might want to check on it.

Did Pulse say when the "release date" for this Endgame wave was? I'm trying to gauge if Hasbro Pulse ise ahead or behind other stores when it comes to releasing "Pre orders."

It looks like there has been a restock of the Cull Obsidian BaF wave. I have seen them all (except Thor) in several Walgreens/Duane Reades.

I'm pretty sure the actual release date was 3/31, like it was with all of the other Endgame merchandise.

Checked a 2nd WM yesterday and they were sold out of Maw as well.  The quantum suit caps seem to be piling up a bit already as both WMs I visited had 3-4 Caps and at most  1 of the other characters in the wave (including the Corvus 2-pack).  I suppose that makes sense since Cap has no BAF piece and i imagine people interested in the quantum suits are more focused on getting the target 2-pack, at least right now.

Still no sign of Binary.  I really wonder what's up with that.

My perception is that sales of the Cap Marvel wave are slowing, it seems like everywhere i go the whole wave is in stock. I have barely seen BP wave 2 or Kingpin wave in the wild at all.
