Just arrived, and i can honestly say . . . yes, he is indeed the worst. The skinny Bucky, that first Hasbro Namor, even that Doc Samson whose legs could only splay out to the side; they were all better than this. At least they represented a whole figure. This is a torso glued to a see-thru orange lump. It looks like something a little kid would do with a busted action figure and some playdoh.

Damn, I was really looking forward to a Cannonball figure, He's one of my favorite X-Men.

Well, not an action figure, but it was my birthday last week and my baby got me an airbrush and a compressor.  I've been threatening for years now to try my hand at some customs and with the expensive stuff out of the way, I'm just about out of excuses.  I hope to get my first attempt underway in the next month or so.

Different kind of haul I guess, but I'm excited and needed to share.  I've got a good character picked out and some ideas on how I'm going to get there.  If the end result isn't too embarrassingly bad, I'll share it on this site with you guys.

To each their own. I personally think it would have benefitted greatly with a longer contrail, maybe make it two pieces, with a more conical bottom . . . like a comet tail. I figure that's what they had in mind, they just couldn't make it cost out.

In any case, I may warm up to it when I actually have it in hand. We'll see.

Not a Cannonball fan but that's EXACTLY what I said they should have done for his comet trail. 2 pieces would've fit in his carton and I think the fans that really like him, would've liked that as well.

Thanks for the review, bro. Its what I suspected but better knowing it came from someone with first hand knowledge.

For what its worth, from the waist up it's a great rendition of C-Ball, way better than the two pack version Hasbro did a few years back. I may even hang on to it. Maybe they'll include a set of legs with a future figure, like they did with that Onslaught head.

In any case, the Wendigo is every bit as cool as I thought it would be. So a little good with the bad.

Picked up Stealth Iron Man, Giant-Man ( I thought this was a December release), Camo Punisher, Warmachine Punisher... pretty good day.

For repaints I’d say Hasbro knocked these out of the park. Well, the Giant-Man is nice but not significantly different. The WM Punisher is slick.

Will make a real time decision on Big Time Spider. Passed on White Agent Venom for the same reasons I want to pass on EndGame Cap. Crap articulation.

Bummer. I had some snot-nosed little kids steal 80th Thor and Iron Man from my store yesterday. I've been stewing about it all day.

Wow, obviously we're all aware of fig swappers but haven't heard a lot of stories about kids running out of the stores with MLs.  Frankly i didn't think kids were all that interested in these things.

These same kids have run out with random sets of dice, etc. They're just stealing to steal.

No actual figure goodness, but I did see the plan-o-gram for a Marvel endcap at Walgreens.  There is a peg designated for Dani Moonstar and a peg for Emma Frost... hopefully I can find them soon.

Yeah I had really no idea kids/people were actually out right stealing figures, but I guess they must since, we see the state of swapping and ripping off. I would be so mad if I was you dude, thats a real snotty ass thing to do, how did they get to the figs I woulda thought you'd have them in a case (thinking they'd be loose?) , I would have chased them out the store just for that hulk

Never thought I would see 90s Storm at any retail store, but I saw her today @ my Best Buy in Odessa, TX. It was just her, Sinister and 4 mcu Wasps.

Didn't know they were making a Thanoscopter toy.  Hilarious!

I actually saw one yesterday in-store and it's smaller than I thought - it's one of those mini RC helicopters that can fit in the palm of your hand. Someone on Reddit posted a pic which I'll attach here.

Also, one of my local Duane Reades (Walgreens) on the UWS of Manhattan got a tote yesterday with an Emma Frost and a couple of the new Funko Spidey Pops, so if you're in NYC and still need her you might want to make the rounds this week. Still no sign of Dani Moonstone although every single Duane Reades has an empty shelf slot for "Walgreens Exclusive Mr Fantastic".

These were new in box, on a peg. These kids' (and honestly most decent retail thieves') strategy is to have one or two of them tie up the staff with questions as a diversion while the others run out with something. I think they only got Iron Man and Thor, but they were the 80th anniversary versions, so they're $5 more than typical Legends. I wasn't there at the time, and I don't let my staff chase shoplifters because they can get in serious trouble if things aren't done perfectly by the book, and it's better to unambiguously have policies that don't risk their safety, but it still stings.

Yeah I can relate, I used to work a Wine Store for years, pretty much every day we'd have all types of thieves in action, and Yes I totally know the problems that can arise from trying to stop them or chase them out the store, it's still a real stinger, I get it when people do pull those stunts, it's a shame really people resorting to such measures

Happens to find Moonstar at my local WALGREENS today. What's funny is I was buying LOL dolls for my granddaughter and she was behind them. I felt bad for taking someone's "stash" but I'll get over it! Just need two more to complete the ladies.

    • yesterday i did a bit of hunting and it was a pretty good success. i was looking for the demogoblin and skrull wave but i only found a couple. walmart has nothing yet. bare shelves. but i did stop by a couple walgeens and they did have the cuckoos. i found 5 of them, 3 at one and 2 at the other. i picked up a set of 3. i also found invisible woman human torch and superior doc ock at target and gamestop. i found it interesting that both target and gamestop had the same exact figs without variation. I did not pick them up because i plan on buying the whole wave together if i cant find them in the next couple days. I am happy with the cuckoos for now.   Here's what my local Walmart looks like all the time now. shameful. They had an abundance of marvel legends before i started collecting again. There were all ways a ton sitting in the clearance isle as well but now I'm lucky to find regular priced ones on the shelf. I have to go all the way in to another town to find any.
    • Marvel made the definitive Dracula with their Tomb of Dracula series, and I would love to see a figure with that in mind. I understand there's an "updated" version, but he's so removed from the iconic Colan/Wolfman character, he may as well be another vampire altogether. So yes please Hasbro make a Count Dracula from TOD, and make an "updated" one for the folks who like that too. Man, don't get me started on how fantastic a live action Dracula, based on TOD, would be...too extreme for Disney+ but another company could pick it up....
    • Yes, but don't you agree its about accuracy? Scarlett might not see the problem, but then she didn't see the problem of casting her as the lead for Ghost in the Shell either, so I'm not sure I can go with her judgement here. This isn't objectification; many of us have ranted on this same forum about Hasbro not giving Captain America his wings or making the Torch's head yellow. Cant speak for anyone else but I'm not saying I refuse to buy this figure or that its trash, just because its not totally accurate, but I am saying , If you're making a figure that's supposed to look like a particular thing/person, the figure should look that way.
