Marvel Universe Iceman

I really liked the X Men Classics Bobby Drake figure that came out a while back (never managed to nab one), so I managed to squeeze this one in this week. Lmk what you guys think.

 

Iceman (Bobby Drake)

base: MU Silver Surfer

head: MU Human torch

hair, belt and "X" buckle on chest: Apoxie Sculpt

awesome hair sculpt and paint apps. the face even manages to look less cartoony than the mu torch.

 

if you don't mind my asking, how did you do your thin black outline?

i'm not so good at the intricate paint jobs and more than slightly jealous; so any tips would be appreciated.

Awesome job. Very clean apps. I am still amazed at the seemingly unlimited usage of the Johnny Storm figure.

uberlad: Thanks for the comments. I actually wrote up a small tutorial a while back on another forum. Here's the link. It still requires a steady hand, but that's the method I use.

 

pooda: You can pose the figure, move the joints around no problem, but you wouldn't wanna give it to a kid
