MU is pissing me off! there getting everyone that legends collectors want....and hasbro makes legends and tells us to vote only 3 and there not even that good...

well the line is called "Marvel Legends" every thing has to be aproved by marvel. by their

Standerds all the other characters that people want are NOT LEGENDS hasbro pretty much tapped out all the legends. Thats because they were pushing it at the end at least with the build a figures. they had to sell the figures. hasbro made the MU so they could start over and the LEGENDS word does not hold them back, and they could use every thing in the current comics. They should make a 6" Line called something else that way they could make whatever.

Marvel Universe biggest pros are these few reasons (note these are the reasons I love them and some people might not care)

1. 100's of vehicles and playsets ranging from Star Wars, GI Joe and etc in 3-4 inchs

2. I can have GI JOE and Star Wars figures lined up and battle my Marvel Superheroes.

3. Easy head swapping out with Star Wars and GI JOE to make customs and maskless heroes.

4. These figures are smaller and cheaper to produce for Hasbro so that means more and more characters we never thought we would see. Hell in the first few waves we have gotton characters that never have been produced in ML form.

All that being said, I still prefer Marvel Legends because they are my favorite but I also love the Marvel Universe figures as well. I just wish I could have both lines all the time.

Are you saying that every ML character is a true legend? lol

Anyway, Hasbro needs the same approvals for MUs as they did for MLs.

Hasbro kept Marvel Legends name because it had brand appeal. Marvel has made Marvel Universe a brand name so it was only logical for Hasbro to make a toy line out of it.

You are really reading too much into the name of the line there. ML has figs from all over the Marvel Universe too.

I'm sorry but tHasbro focusing on 6 inch has little to nothing to do with that. It was more so a business move to milk the Marvel license for cartoon and movie figures that target kids consumers. Plus 3.75 is thier bread and butter 6 inch is out of their comfort zone and meeting collectors needs like toybiz did is even more out of what they normally do. They are doing what will make the most money the easiest possible way at it's rawest that is what the Hasbro acquiring the Marvel toy license it about. Collectors take less prominence when kids will have their parents buy the figures regardless of articulation and paint apps. Easy money with less effort.

Costumes yes, but as for unique characters never produced in ML, it's only a handful - Wrecking Crew, Klaw, and Enchantress. They've yet to make anything that I "never thought we would see". They've also yet to make anything truly "unique". One great thing about ML was it's use of unique sculpts for certain characters. Someone like Spiral or Wendigo just doesn't lend itself to re-use like Hasbro is employing for MU. When they do something that can't be recycled into 2-3 other characters, I'll be impressed.

Man, now I remember why I left this forum for a period of time. I'm SICK of whiny people constantly complaining about the lack of ML, and I'm also sick of the constant QQ when it comes to Marvel Universe. Don't like it? THEN DON'T FRICKIN' BUY IT! ML is coming back next year, and hopefully Hasbro will eventually be able to produce all those figures they showed at SDCC.

I do have one complaint about ML though: isn't anybody else here sick of seeing the Bullseye body being reused for everyone and their mother?
