G.I. Joe dissasembly

I would like to make a custom from a ROC Baroness Fig. Could anyone tell me how to disassemble it for painting. In a way I could put it back together and still have articulation.

I know thw hands and head pop off and can be reattached but was wondering if the arms can come off at the shoulders and the legs at the hips.

Also is it possible to remove the pin in the knee and replace the shin/boots?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

i drill mine under the armpits, on top by the neck, and pop them open. but here are some pages on some different tutorials. you may need to make an account to see them.

jin saotome<--this guy is great at customizing and has terrific tutorials. i think i read all of them before i even took a figure apart or painted one. check out his site and tutorial guides.

Hey, rock on Lion, thanks for the mention. The only hard part about GI Joes is that chest section. The elbows/knees/ankles/wrists pop apart when you heat them with a hairdryer. The chest...well, one of those methods may work. I've had some Joes glued together so well I destroy them. Others crack apart with little to no marks. Personally I use a pair of flush/diagonal jewelry cutters from Joann's crafts and snip right under the armpit seam, then twist.
