Marvel Select Thing

Found him today! He's so awesome and freakin HUGE!! I was at my LCBS just as they were putting the 2 they got out for sale. The "base" that he comes with doesn't look at all like the one seen in pictures (they flying disk looking thing). Just looks like a piece of metal. Weird that this one is out before Abomination.

I'm waiting for mine to come in. I like this Thing fig awesome job they did on him i cant wait for mine.

This is a great looking figure. My only complaint would be that Ben isn't wearing his classic shorts, but otherwise this is how a powerhouse like the thing should look like. Big and chunky. I really hope Marvel Select is going to release more "muscle men" in the near future. Colossus, Sasquatch and Apocalypse to name a few.

I would love if they made a variant with shorts!! But man this guy is great as is. And i'm pretty sure Diamond is dedicated to making lots of heavy hitters b/c they know how interested we are in them. I mean the smaller figs like Daredevil, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Captain Marvel...even Magneto & Deadpool look great but they look soooo goofy in the box b/c there is so much dead space! We still have Juggernaut and Abomination coming out this year (hopefully!!!). I'm hoping for Hulk Buster Iron Man, Colossus, Odin, Rhino, Beast, Sauron, Orca, Armadillo, Attuma, Tiger Shark, Rockslide, A-Bomb...there are more but those are all great. I know they will continue to make smaller ones but 3 or 4 big guys a year would be awesome!

Oh and Skaar, Korg, Bi-Beast, Absorbing Man, Lockjaw, Strong Guy, Man-Spider...maybe some Hulked Out Heroes!?!?!

While the little, bean head was an initial deterrent I think I'm going to have to get this particular lump of plastic. Thanks for the pics!

He looks great and should fit in nicely with some of MS other offerings, but he's just to large to hang with MLs IMO which is why i won't pick him up.

I've always imagined The Thing being gigantic so this is perfect for me! I don't think he's as big as the hulk but I like him to be pretty close! If you're going to display him with marvel legends though you'll have to use the marvel select hulk.
