What version in Gift Sets?

Okay, I was fortunate to get the Sinister Six boxset yesterday via eBay. I was wondering which version of Spiderman is in the set? It looks like the body of Series 10 Snapshot version with a new head. Can someone refute or confirm this.

Also, which version in in the Fearsome Foes boxset. I just can't tell.

Also, what is the best way to get a McFarlane Spiderman?

The heads are different on the McFarlane version and the versions that came in the sets.

You can either:

a) get really lucky and find a wave 12 Mcfarlane Spidey cheap

b) pay through the nose on the aftermarket

c) get the rereleased version from last year or two years ago at a reasonable price (he's red and black), and try your hand at a custom paint job

Good luck regardless. The box set versions are pretty cool in their own right.

that should be a pretty easy job.

First you want to wash the figure with some dish soap and a sponge. This gets rid of the residue left from the factory.

Then you just need to paint it like you would a model car or something. Dont worry about sanding it. Make sure to use acryllic paint, but NOT the stuff from wal-mart. You want to use acryllic model paint that will bond to the plastic. Games workshop, citadel, and testors are all fine choices. Since you're going from black to light blue, you might consider putting down a base coat of white first. I also prefer flat paint to glossy, but that's just personal preference.

Check out the how-tos at the custom action figure showcase hosted by figurerealm.com. Just google it for a link.

Good luck!
