HELP: Where I can find cars and civilians-like figs for 6''?

Well, I'm planning to make my city diorama but I have problems to find civilians action figs, cars and other complements.

I'm going to buy some Jean Grey, Jhonny Storm, Logan and Norman Osborn figs, but I need more, incuding police officers, the officer that comes with movie Sabretooth isn't enough. Where I can find civilians figs? Preferred at Amazon.com

Also I found at Amazon.com Wolverine's X-Racer or something like that, but I still needing other car types like Police cars or civilian cars. HELP!

And also I need city parts like streets, signals, detailed buildings, etc

@ Dourron: Did not know that an officer came with Sabretooth????

Anyway: Toys R Us has figures such as: Terminator Salvation. The Resistance Soldier make decent cops.

Also you can use the human figures from various lines: Commissioner Gordon (DC Direct), little kids (Ben 10), and the Family figures and they sell apartment accessories such as couches, chairs, and even a mini-van.

 

At K-Mart they have several things from a line called (Just) For Kids.

there is a helicopter that I want for $20.00 They also sell these Ford Mustangs that come with a 10-inch doll, but can work decently enough for your 6-inch figs. They cost about $10.00 each.

FYI: many collectors use the dressed up goons, or even the Joker from the Batman: Dark Knight Movie Masters set. they just boil and pop the heads to give them a civilian look.

I use other lines for regular people in the back ground like get the hero figs lol hey they work they have regular clothes on and steal their guns for marvel figs have them laying around or something also Buffy figs with out all that vampire heads unless wait wait for it use the vampiers and make a "Blood Bash" scene from Blade movie oh yeah that would be awesome lol yeah just use other lines and for desent cars i have no clue try that out

i saw some tonka trucks at walmart yesterday. each had a trailer. one had an atv, one a boat, and the other a horse trailer i think. they looked about the right size.

@ X66: I looked to your diorama and it's incredible, it was the thing that impulse me to re-take my diorama proyect.

I find at Amazon.com some 1/24 cars: that scale is the rigth for 6'' figs? It's dimensions are 9'' x 6'' x 4'' aprox. I think it's good for 6'' figs but I would like to have some opinions.

About that Gordon fig I found at Amazon.com a 3-pack of S.W.A.T./Gordon/S.W.A.T. and other Gordon S.W.A.T. fig and I have my eye on it.

OK where do i get my stuff from. Well first I've been collecting for twenty years now and have been picking up stuff here and there for that long.

The firefighters are from Plan B, no not the pill, they are really pricey around 30.00 a piece. Most of the reporters gear is from wrestling figures, the female reporter I always use is actually a Mcfarlane Dana Scully from Xfiles.

The other civilians are mostly from Buffy/Angel. Happy Worker figures are good to but a little pricey.

Cars and vehicles: Armored truck is a repaint of a turtles vehicle.

: Turtles Humvee is also perfect scale once it's retooled..

: Iron Man car

: The Tonka trucks Eldest son mentioned are perfect scale.

Sidewalks: DCD figures

Lamposts: Web Swinging Movie Spidey combined with the bottom part of the Web Trap movie Spidey stop light to add an extra inch on the height.

Hmmm, i own so much stuff I don't even no what else there is, however, the majority of accessories like the phone booth, waste bins etc. are all from Wrestling figures.

Backdrops are from a friend at Toysrus they were for the Spidey 2 movie.

The buildings are a little out of scale but they work, they were from a perfume display that I bugged someone at a Duty free about, I think it was Moschino or something like that.

Believe it or not, the best place I've been to to find windows for buildings and other accessories are at resale shops like Salvation army etc. I usually grab old Barbie Houses and stuff like that for my windows, everything else on them is too big.

No one's seen my new layout but it should be done by end of January or semi presentable by then. My new table is 3' deep by 13' long as opposed to my old city which was 2'6" deep by 9' feet long. , I've started creating buildings from scratch now like I did in the 90's for my 5" Toybiz figures.

So now you know most of my secrets, I've got a few more awesome ideas but I can't give everything away.

Can't wait to see everyone's cities they are working on, could you imagine if we could do something like Star Wars celebrations; get everyone together and build one huge city!!! That would be cool.
