Best ML Spiderman/Wolverine/Iron Man

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, so I was thinking of picking up some ML characters. Just a few well known characters and some personal favorites, so I was wondering what would be the best spiderman, iron man, and wolverine figures to get? In terms of articulation and sculpt and what not. Thanks!

without question the "McFarlane Spiderman" is the best Spiderman figure...hell, one of the best figures of any line EVER made. Pricey ($40+ loose, much more MOC) but worth it. Classic blue & red BUT if you like black/red, Hasbro re-released the same figure, different paint and it's on HTS for $9.99 as we speak

For Iron Man, either ML 8 Modern Armor or the recently released version that came w/ Maria Hill/Sharon Carter.

For Wolverine, it doesn't get any better than the brown/tan version from Legends series 6. Hasbro re-did it in the tiger stripe blue/yellow but the paint result was typical *at the time* Hasbro laziness. I got it and had fellow board member billmaru repaint him and it's now the BEST rendition of Wolverine I've ever seen. See:

Sweet this is exactly what I needed. I was thinking about getting that Modern Iron man, and the cheaper spidey figure works for me haha. Whether he's blue or black doesn't matter to much for me. That wolvie looks SICK. Do the claws typically look that good?

alot of people make their own claws but really, the one's that come w/ this mold are easy to fix. just boil water, put em in there, straighten them out and then run cold water over them. they freeze in place and the whole "operation" takes all of 30 seconds. This particular wolverine though, he used credit cards that were sliced up. Much more sturdy and no worry about them bending out of shape over time.

I can't argue with Mr. Dizzle's picks for Spidey, Wolvie, and 'ol shellhead. But here are a couple of more choices that you might consider.

For Spider-Man, I like McFarlane Spidey, but I also love Snap-Shot Spider-Man as well. He's just as poseable as the McFarlane style figure, but he looks like the classic bronze age version of the web-head and you can usually find him cheaper than McFarlane S-M.

As for Iron Man, I much prefer the classic recent 2-Pack version to the semi-modern one from ML-8. That one always looked more like an insectoid robot than a man in a suit to me. Plus the classic version comes with interchangeable hands and a Tony Stark head so you can recreate the cover to "Demon In Bottle".

Finally there's Wolverine. As Dizzle said, you can't go wrong with the ML-6 Brown Costume version, but he failed to supply a pic, so here you go.

The Mcfarlane Spidey is definitely the best but it's hard to come by and it's never cheap. What I did is I got this one instead, it's from the Fearsome Foes gift pack. The major differences are the head sculpt and the armpit webbing. You can then get a cheap Battle Action Spidey and swap the heads and voilà!

My favorite Iron Man is from the movie line...

As for Wolverine, I feel the best one is still ML series 3.

I definitely like the 6" Iron Man from IM2. It's my go to Iron Man for display.

The ML3 is probably the best looking, but he's tall. My favorite is the Astonishing X-Men Wolverine from the Apocalypse wave.
