What figure do you base scale on?

I base it on Captain America (face off version). I assume 6' 2" to 6'4"

 

 

I picked up omega red the other day and compared the two and red is WAY out of scale. He's about as big as I would imagine a select figure to be.

 

Cyclops (sentinel series) is too small in comparison. For a character that is supposed to be tall he seems to come in just under normal height for a super hero.

 

Who do you use as the size standard?

black panther, about 6 feet tall,

the thing is, mcfarlane spidey is too tall

new warmachine from the movie line looks like a midget

bishop just towers everybody except the hulk

cable too short too

That's sort of the point. If the only figure you ever owned was the Mcfarlane Spidey then he would be in scale because there's nothing to gauge him against. But once you have twenty figures of varying size putting them together starts to get silly.
