remove paint

Recommended Posts

I bought a SDCC Zarana figure and I want to use the head for a Songbird custom. I need to remove her makeup (eyeshadow and lip gloss). What is the best way to go about this? Does anyone know if Nail Polish Remover would work or would it turn the figure clear? It was an expensive purchase so I really wanna get it right..

be careful with paint remover, especially acetone.

if you leave it on the figure for more than like 10 seconds, it will start to eat the plastic. And you won't be able to get it back to normal.

I recently removed some paint from Commander Rogers using Acetone. It worked really well on the legs, but not well at all on the torso.

I think maybe because the legs are the softer plastic or that the leg stripes are not painted on as thick. A few wipes with a q-tip took the paint right off nice and clean.

but when I got to the torso the white star and stripes took more effort and the acetone made a mess of the plastic because I had left it on too long.
