2011 Favorite Legends Style Marvel Product

I know that the pickings for 2011 were sparse!!!

Very few and in between, but in the wake of the news of the return of ML, we did get a few items to whet our appetites.

Besides, we need something else to talk about until the new ML figures drop.

Everything from the 3 ML 2-Packs that Hasbro released in the winter of 2010 (and some actually stayed on the shelves in 2011), to the few Spider-Man products, the goodies from Marvel Select, and I even include the large figures from the Gigantic Battles to the Sentinel, what were your favorites?

For me: Black Widow, Winter Soldier, the Iron-Man Legends Titanium Man, and the Loki from the Thor Movie Legends line.

I even loved the Frost Giant from the GB set, just wished his legs were not so restricted.

I liked:

The comics Loki (as part of the Thor movie line)

The movie Thor

The re-released Lord Thor (finally with proper paint apps)

The Destroyer (not sure exactly what scale he is supposed to be with, but he's at least 7" tall, comic/movie accurate, and works well with my legends)

Lol@ Ronin

@Damprime - do u make your own molds/ casts?

I really wanted to have 3 or 4 Frost Giants but the price and the lack

Of availabilty killed that idea.

Also the Ultimate WW2 Cap seems to be calling my name .... come on new MLs

Unfortunately no. I really want to learn though. But for now I just buy the bases I need for as cheap as possible on ebay, retail clearance or my local comic shop. I usually buy my head casts from dmc direct or other suppliers.

If we're counting the "Fan-Favorite" 2-packs from late 2010 then my favorite Legends figures from those were...

Hulk

Black Widow (gray)

Black Widow (black)

Deadpool (red)

Warpath (red & blue)

Valkyrie

But if we are only counting stuff that actually was released in 2011 then I'd have to go with Titanium Man and Crimson Dynamo. That's really all I can recall buying this past year that was anything like a Legends figure (except for some older stuff I got off Ebay). The pickins' were pretty slim this past year.

I passed on the MU Gigantic Battles "Black" Goliath and Frost Giant when I saw them, and I didn't care for the re-released Cap and Thor figures that just came out. I might have picked up comic-book Loki if I'd found him, but I really didn't care for him either, so I didn't look that hard for him.

Next year when we discuss our favorite Legend's from 2012, hopefully we'll have a lot more to talk about than 2011.

I've been collecting Marvel Select since Marvel Legends went away so my favorites that came out in 2011 were Gambit and Disney Exclusive Hawkeye. I was going to say Juggernaut too but I do think he came out at the end of 2010. I bought a Titanium Man too...pretty nice. I passed on Crimson Dynamo too many times now he's no where. I've still never seen any of the 6 inch Cap or Thor figures at any Wal-Mart.

Well I just asked Diamond Select on their facebook & they said Juggernaut, Cyclops & Magneto Marvel Selects are 2011 releases. So I'm counting Juggernaut & Magneto! They also said the Colossus Marvel Select is technically a 2011 release too (even though he doesn't come out til the end of this Month or early next month) so I'll count him too!

in the realm of Marvel Legends-ish figures this past yea, the ONLY figures I bought were:

Titanium Man

Crimson Dynamo

thor legends Loki

I really like the Titanium Man and Crimson Dynamo, even if they are a bit undersized.

Loki is okay.. but I am still really wanting a ML classic Loki figure

@ Damprime: what is dmc? Is there a website for them?

@ Tyhifive: thanks for verifying the info. I thought Juggy was 2011. I still

Want that figure

Yeah. It's dmc direct. Stands for Dead Man Customs. He has plenty casts at good prices. Another one I use is called Camco kid which is also good. I dont have any links but they areeasy to find.

thanks for all the info Damprime

I am looking at you and Ninjak for help. Since Hasbro seems not interested in making or re-releasing Dragon Man, I want to see some comparison pics of Dragon Man with some hulks or DCUC C&Cs.

I forgot to mention: if they decide to lower the price on the MU giant Sentinel he could win toy of the year as far as Marvel products go
