TRU raise ML prices

Those prices are probably standard in NY. If it's somewhere else I'd be surprised.

That price is considered norm in NYC actually....such a rip-off.

They hike prices for the holidays, force high prices compared to places like Wal-mart BEcause we don't have Wal-marts in NYC. And the targets aren't great either.

I order mostly online or through the discount stores around here for some reason who get everything including exclusives for less than Toys'r'us....

I was just agreeing with you wolvie,

It's a shame that as the rule, not the exception for us ny'ers we get ripped off.

Yeah but its a fact that people in newyork Make way more money than the average american. You can work at a resturant and make a grip on tips especially high end resturants. I dont feel bad for you guys one bit, also you get every thing First about a week befor cali.

As much as I can't believe TRU is raising their prices so dramatically, I can't believe Target is also doing a significant price raise. I just saw their GI Joe figures were at $11.00! Too rich for my blood....and they raised it right before the GI Joe movie, so you know those movie figures will be somewhere North of the $10 mark. Absolutely insane.

Meanwhile it costs Hasbro $.25 (or less) to produce the figure.

I've always wanted to know how much it actually costs to make a figure. Is this really how much it costs to produce a figure or are u just exaggerating? If so holy crap we are getting screwed.

you get screwed no matter what, Conan

they pay a sculptor to design (they get some $$$)

they pay some worker overseas to mass produce (they get VERY little money)

the highest they ay is probably in shipping and then make a deal with each store.

The stores then follow the trends and prie adjust accordingly .... and please dont shop in an affluent part of town (like NYC or certain parts of FL) ... Mo money, mo money, mo money!!!!!

If the figure actually costs more than a dollar, then i would be surprised

The toy game is crazy. I have seen Wal-Mart sell excess DCUC for $5.00 - they are not making a large profit, but they are not losing money either.

The $15.00 and above perfigure keeps corporations rich and proves how much we starve for the product. it is a darn shame!!!

Then add how TRU can mess up with their rewards program (I am having issues with them now), and it seems as if TRU wants to lose customers in the name of making a buck.
