SPOILERS (although it's everywhere already)

basically white 616 Nick Fury had a black son (Marcus Johnson Fury) who over a very short period of time lost his eye, shaved his head and grew a goatee. Now he looks like black Ultimate Fury. It's Marvel's answer to having Sam jackson nick fury in the 616 universe. Possibly for the movie

If crazy-weird Samuel L. Fury is the price we have to pay to get 616 Agent Coulson, then that's a price I'm willing to pay :)

It is nice to see the Super Soldier outfit in use though - I like that design and don't mind it being spun off like "The Captain" outfit was spun off into USAgent.

wow ... Marcus johnson Fury .... so Nick had a one-eyed Black son ..... I love diversity in comics

Always wanted to see a Black version of Thor ... or just a more diversified roster of heroes

I didn't mind that he had a black son; my gripe was that he had hair and 2 eyes when it started.

SPOLIERS

SO they plucked out an eye and burned off his hair

It's not about being politically correct and nobody's trying to ruin history. The ultimate Nick is in a universe of his own. This is the son of the mainstream universe Fury who has is own identity. True it is an obvious attempt to cash in a little now on the movies. But hey that's business. Besides both Furys have really different views and ways of handling things. So really there's no confusion for most of us fans. Far as the movies are concerned Sam's version is perfect for them. I can't see many actors today playing the classic version. Let alone writers getting him to fit the stories since they are based more on the Ultimates anyway. I dont know if you remember but they tried Nick Fury back in the 90s with David Hasselhoff. HA HA! If you dont remember it, don't worry about it. Trust me dont. Anyway it shouldn't really matter about characters like him and Kingpin anyway. It's not like we're talking about Thor Cap or even Superman. Hell what hurt Daredevil was Ben and the story itself. Everyone else was great.

Oh not the Hoff movie haha!!

I remember a while back Bruce Willis was supposedly being considered for the role of Nick Fury. That would have been cool. At least we have him playing the real GI JOE now.
