Marvel Legends Target 3 pk question

Recommended Posts

The 3 pack I am asking about is the Vision, Hulk, Ultron one....I picked this up from a local Goodwill for $20.00 and was excited because I was looking to do the Silvermane head swap and the white Vision looks fantastic. However, when I opened the box I noticed something interesting....there were gold stamped numbers on the foreheads of Vision (406) and Hulk (407). At first I was disappointed and aggravated, but then I found a copy of a shipping receipt. This was a production sample sent to Marvel from Hasbro for approval.

Has anyone seen this before? are the figures more valuable? thoughts?

I wouldn't necessarily say you were unlucky. To me, it's a cool and unique item to have in a collection. Whether or not it's considered more valuable depends on whom you're asking. To someone who collects prototypes and other such items, yes. To someone who just wants figures to display, no, probably not. It's all about finding the right buyer.

We have seen examples of figures with stamps on their forehead before. They are early prototypes from the factories. A recent example is the Punisher figure shown a week ago at Toy Fair.

So, that is what that was!
