Legends Exclusives Release Dates

So since I don't really see anything anywhere regarding release dates, I figure there might be at least one person that could have possible concrete (more or less) date on these damn exclusives.

This time last year, we already had pretty much every legend exclusive (that I can remember) minus Walgreens FA DD.

But with just as many exclusives slotted for this year, the only damn thing I've found has been Namor. I have the civil war 3 pack but that wasn't a "true" ex so I'm not counting it.

I know big box is starting their August fall Plano resets, which is promising, but does anyone actually have real Intel on:

Walmart Bucky & Falcon

TRU 3-pack

Target 2-pack

Walgreens Punisher

3.75 Deluxe Falcon (Im not even sure if it's an TRU ex or not)

Lastly, actual general release for the new Icons (I know that the big 3 have some weird timed exclusivity or something...)

Oh and has anybody seen wave 2 of the comic packs? I know they are "out" but most stores i walk into are light on wave 1 comic packs and have been for a while...

I believe the the Target 2-pack should be out. Although neither of mine have taken the time to actually put it on the shelves. I think that will be the first we see of any exclusive.

Wal Mart Bucky and Falcon. I think we might start seeing them next week. Two toy specialist I know said they would probably be out with the reset that is coming early next week. I wouldn't hold my breath but I feel they should be out by mid August.

Walgreens Punisher I think this will be the last one we see although I believe it said to hit shelves today. None of my 6 Wal Greens have even gotten Namor yet so I won't hold my breath.

3.75 Falcon I don't think its an exclusive. I have no idea. My TRU is generally pretty good about getting the 3.75 figures out and I expect to see them maybe this weekend. I am looking forward to the actual wave with Rogue and Morbius more though. My Targets and my own store are overflowing with wave 1 two packs so I really am not sure how it will play out.

I should be able to get some concrete info on the TRU 3-pack if anyone has a UPC as I have two good friends who work at TRU.

I am hoping my store gets the new 3.75 figures on this weeks truck but we always get everything about at least a month behind it seems.and then it doesn't sell because I have already bought it and its a vicious cycle.......sorry I could not give you any concrete date but to be honest unless you go to the store find someone who is helpful not an idiot and you have a UPC it might sit back there for weeks.....

Ohhh yeahh, the 12 inch figures......my TRU has a bunch of Captain America and Spider Man and have for about a week. I heard Iron Man was an exclusive at Target first but I also heard Captain America was an exclusive at Wal Mart first and I got him at TRU and have not seen him at any Wal Mart. They cost about 10 dollars too much in my opinion, for 50$ they should have increased the paint or sculpt quality. I got the new NECA Kratos for half the price which is kinda shameful for Hasbro. Granted they are larger scale but still.

My question is X-Men hit first what wave will we see next? Abomination or Space Venom? My guess is Abomination.

Which exclusive are you guys most excited for?

Although none of that was concrete info, I do appreciate the enthusiasm!

To your point though, with big box doing their resets now, it should appear "logical" (a word Hasbro battles with often) that we will start to see these damn things soon lol

The good news is, with regards to my area, is that there is never a problem finding these exclusives (haven't seen Icons anywhere though but I'm sure the line will not be "selling out" so I just gotta be patient)

The targets and TRUs in my area usually have an over abundance of their legends exclusives and always wind up on clearance. If only I didn't care about a mint package, I would just wait till they go onto inevitable clearance but they're always beat to hell by then so I buy them immediately. Same thing with the two closest Walgreens near me, they always get a full 8count sidecap shipper for their black series/legends exclusives so again, I never worry about "not getting them" per say but it's just the wait until they come out that's bothersome. In fact the only store exclusives that seem to be troublesome to find are the target/Walmart/TRU black series as I only ever found 1-2 Snowtrooper Officer, Shock Trooper and Shadow Biker Squadron set ever and that was it.

The Walgreens closest to me still has 6 Vaders as I bought two and I guess that's it lol. This is a benefit of living in a very busy area of south Florida...but everyone around here is old. The Walgreens closest to me is the busiest one of the district thanks to the old people and their constant need of medicine. At the end of the day, denture adhesive cream outsells toys it would seem so I'm clearly fortunate.

I did stop at my target today after hearing about the XMEN wave being set but while I didn't find legends, I was very happy to find the new Walking Dead Color Tops figs from McFarlane...so refreshing to McFarlane back in classic fashion with his 7in ridiculously detailed Ultra Action Statues (I can't stand all this 5in crap we've been seeing for years) and they were black series style window box packaging versus crummy jcards AND they were less than $20. Big win.

I mean it would've been nice to see the X figs but the only thing I would've bought would've been another deadpool cause I only have 5 and deadpool is always a great "rainy day" fund should the occasion present itself. This is of course because unless it's an exclusive, or it simply isn't available to order (looking at you Icons) I order everything off of EE.

Which brings me to another one of your questions, which wave will ship first-Vemon or Abomb. The answer is definitely Venom. Etailers get figures at a MINIMUM of a month early it seems and I've had Venom wave in hand for about a month but my Abomb wave has yet to ship.

Still so weird how all of these exclusives were revealed at the very beginning of the year just about but they're still not out yet. We had about the same amount of legends exclusives last year but I had almost all of them at this point already...so strange.

The only true "concern" I have is the Walmart Bucky/Falcon. This is the first legend exclusive since the Infinite Series/Phase 3 and seeing how brutal it's been to track down their 3.75 Black Series figs (all about right place at the right time with Walmart) I'm much more skeptical than optimistic with regards to Walmart.

I mean it's anyone's guess at this point. Will they release as a floor stack PDQ? (max volume), End Cap display? (2nd max volume) sidecap shippers? (3rd max volume) or as straight cases of 8 each? Straight 8 cases of 4 & 4? Or maybe they'll just follow walmart at their finest example and just not come out at all (Ares Wave anyone?)

Regardless, the exclusive I'm MOST excited about is EASILY the Walgreens Jim Lee Punisher. Between me and my friends all wanting at least two of him, I'm just going to take the whole damn shipper to the register when I find it.

I was told that the Target exclusive 2 pack had a street date of July 31 so in theory it should be available. I am pretty sure the street date for Punisher was August 1st but like I said not holding my breath.

In regards to the color top figures....do they have articulation? I won't buy them all but I did want the new Spawn.

I want Jim Lee Punisher the most as well man!!! Along with the new wave of 3.75 figures which is still number 1 in my heart.

Thanks for the Target info sir.

As far as the McFarlane figs, they have the standard POA his old 7in stuff had and are basically "sculpted in pose" with like the traditional 5-10 POA. Head rotation, shoulder rotation, upper thigh cut and waist swivel. The Rick and Michonne don't appear to have ankle/wrist swivel but since it's McFarlane, every single one of these figs is custom from the ground up so other characters might support that POA down the line on a case by case basis.

Spawn...oh how I miss my spawn figs. As someone who grew up with the figs and owns all 33 Waves, to say I'm looking forward to that new Spawn (#10) would be an understatement to say the least. Also, found out that #10 will also come out with a classic hamburger head variant exclusive to TRU (#11)

This new Color Tops program is a pretty slick idea and I just hope it inevitably leads to more Spawn figures down the line after the initial 16 figs slotted for the "Red & Blue" Waves are done with.

As far as Wave 3 of MU, I hear your pain. I was able to get mine from EE a couple months back and considering I haven't even seen wave 2 in stores, I'm starting to think that despite getting stuck with 4 doubles that I had to return at target from ordering the case, it probably was a smart play in the end.

I'm still hoping that the Moon Knight wave actually comes out in 2016 but considering that we have gotten 19 single carded figs this year...which is double the amount of SWBS3.75 we've gotten in the past 12 months...I guess I could complain about other things more. At least the two new waves shown off at SDCC were super stellar (imo of course) even if we only get another paltry 3 waves in all of 2017 just like we did in 2015 and this year...☹️

I actually picked it up at Target today!!

Its odd though the Target that had the reset done on Sunday didn't have them though and neither had any of the new McFarlane figures.......I did have to buy a couple of the new Power Rangers figures though.....for 20 bucks I just couldn't help it. Do you think the 2 pack will be easy to find now? I will usually try and get 2 one for MOC and one to open if something I like is exclusive (or it is something super dope like the X-Men wave) but I limited myself to one this time.

Thank you very much for the info on the Color Tops line. I think its a pretty cool idea as well as it adds something for MOC collectors I feel. Although, I will probably not be getting many of WD figures I will get the Spawn figures and I am still really looking forward to the line. It will be nice to have waves that I don't feel I need every figure and can pick and choose. I just wish they had a little more articulation, it worked well in the 90's but NECA has spoiled me. Are you happy with the figures?

Its nice to find another 3.75 collector around here! We are kinda the red headed step children of Marvel figure collecting. Which is odd because for awhile when Vonner was in charge nothing could touch that line in terms of quality in my opinion. I mostly love them because I can use them to create dioramas and you can combine them with so many different brands and lines. My TRU has been good about getting the single carded figures but not so much with the comic packs. I agree that some of the new figures actually look much better than I expected but I wish they would give us a little more. Ideally 4 waves a year but each wave would have 2-3 comic packs as well. Then sprinkle a few exclusives and box sets throughout the year and I would be happy. If I don't find them soon I might just order them.

By the way it seems like you hunt almost as much as I do. Perhaps we could trade sometimes if say you have an easy time getting Wal Greens exclusives and I can get TRU and Wal Mart fairly easy due to friends.

P.S The new War Machine is pretty dope everyone.

@MCUcollector17

Yeah, the exclusive isn't going to be difficult to snag and and in my experience, the target and TRU packs always stick around long enough to go on clearance but I'm sure others have had different experiences. Think about if the target pack was War Machine and Mandarin? Might be a LITTLE bit harder to track down.

@Heisenberg

1. Very very very happy with the McFarlane figures as they represent a return to form for his figs and due to the impeccable sculpting and paint detail, i never really cared about POA. Think of them as action statues that cost less than $20 lol

2. Yeah I never really understood "hate" towards one scale or another and I know not every one can afford to buy every figure from every scale they like me but the simple fact is, I grew up on 3.75 joes, 3.75 SW and much later on, 3.75 MU but I also grew up on 6in wrestling figures, 6in marvel figs and of course glorious Spawn toys so yeah, I understand having a "preferred" scale but completely hating or trashing one over the other is just, well, just something a petulant child does when a mother says "no" as far as I'm concerned.

3. I don't really hunt to be honest lol with the exception of exclusives of course which means that I do try to hit up a couple stores every weekend as of now with all of the looming exclusives hanging around and what not. If it's not an exclusive, then I just skip the frustration of the hunt and order everything on EE. Unlike the old days, I have a wife, a job requiring more than 40 hours a week, a young child, etc etc blah blah blah lol. More importantly, I have many hobbies beyond collecting (Xbox first and foremost) and I just don't have time for true hunting. I am looking forward to getting together with the guys and my dad and running around like retards on Force Friday 9/30!

And yes, I have no problem trading/selling if it's something that would help a fellow collector!

Just got back from my target again and they now have the reset done since my trip yesterday. They had the shelves/pegs FULL with pretty much everything minus Wave 2 of the comic packs and the XMEN pegs (DPCI #087-06-5418) were completely empty lol. They did have full cases of the civil war 3 pack and the war machine/90s vomit armor iron man exclusive plus a full case of MU wave 3 which I found most surprising. I bought an extra Hydro Man for my kids next bath lol.

2 exclusives down...4 to go!

  • 2 weeks later...

I live in an area that sees an extremely limited release on all ML. Especially exclusives. I still haven't seen the Kate Bishop 3-pack or Namor so I can't even bother to wonder about the newest releases. I did notice, for any of my fellow collectors who haven't been able to track down Namor, that they are available at at regular price ($19.99) at Walgreens online. Plus, shipping is free above $35. Personally I buy in 2s. One to open and one the keep MIB so it sure beats ordering from one of the online vendors who charge more for the product plus shipping. No offense BBTS, EE or RK. I still love you guys too.

Usually my TRU is really good about the ML 3.75 figures but instead of getting wave 3 in they got like 30 of the older comic packs.....now they will clog up the pegs and make it take even longer to get the new figures. I did find a single 3.75 Falcon though so that was cool. My TRU has not had the Kate Bishop 3 pack.....I mean I would be shocked if they got it and I missed it....I go everyday and none of the people who work there buy Legends. I just need them to get that in and wave 3 of the MU figures as well as wave 2 of the comic packs.

Nice score on the 3.75 Falcon! Me and my buddies hit a couple stores this weekend and we couldn't find the TRU legends pack, 3.75 falcon or the Walmart Bucky/Falcon but we somehow all managed to grab extra deadpools lol. I found one at TRU and my buddies both found theirs at Walgreens (they had the employees grab him from the stockroom)

I'm not too worried about the TRU 3pack because if they even ship them at half the quantity they did with the Shield Set, they will be everywhere eventually. Punisher isn't out yet but whenever he does come out, he will be super easy to find in my area. I'll give to the end of the year to find the wave 2 & 3 of the comic packs and if no dice by Dec 26th, I'll just order them off eBay-I can't go into a new year with anything left over from the previous years lines lol REALLY bothers me but I don't think it will be a big deal tracking them down at the END of the day.

No sooner did I complain about the unavailability of the Kate Bishop 3 pack and BAM!, my local TRU breaks out 2 cases (yes, 8 sets) this weekend and I got my pick of 7. Also newly unboxed were several of the Deluxe Falcon. I assumed the Falcon would drop opposite to the release of the Wmart excluses. Not sure where I got that idea.

That being said, I was surprised at the quality of all of them. The Falcon set looked good, damn good. Almost good enough for me to abandon my self imposed ban on the 3.75 line. Buuut...., then I remember the crap they gave us with Scarlet Spider and Black Cat and it all came back into perspective. Just turn them into a throwback line similar to what ReAction is doing and be done with it. As for the 3 pack? It is awesome. Even though they all reuse parts, there is some originality to all of them that justifies the purchase even more than the GOTG box set. Kate's face sculpt is absolutely gorgeous. The new head sculpt on all of them are all spot on, which (ALERT: beating a dead horse) makes me wonder why an exclusive set that will see limited release can get 3 all original head sculpts (that's the 2nd for Vision, guys) and a long demanded, very long anticipated figure like Polaris, which will see mass release, gets the faciall shaft by getting a reused head. I'm holding my breath that that will changet but not too much.

I was able to pick up the Deluxe 3.75 Falcon recently and it does look great. I collect both scales in their entirety and want them both to succeed equally. Not every figure Is crap but there sure are some sore spots. Overall though, including the recently unveiled 2017 Wave 1, there have been 69 single carded 3.75 releases since the line dropped the "Marvel Universe" branding in 2014 and the amount of good figures released far outweighs the amount of crappy ones in my opinion so I'm not complaining as much as most people. The character variety has been absolutely incredible too so regardless of an individual characters quality when it gets released, I do give Hasbro some points in the "selection" category.

As far as Polaris; going off the assumption that we are only now getting one XMEN Wave a year and not more than 1, I would say Warlock will fit in nicely into the summer 2017 lineup. If that does wind up being the case, they do have quite some time to throw a different/better head on her. Unlike most people, I doubt we will see the rest of the Warlock Wave at NYCC and ToyFair 2017 seems much more likely. I however would have ZERO problem with Hasbro proving me wrong on this point!

Nice! Yeah the Walgreens I snagged my 6 from still had the two left today but again, I can't say I'm surprised. I'm starting to think that literally only like 1 other collector besides me ever visits my local store lol. This store still has:

4 Namors

4 Daredevils

6 Antmans

4 Black Series Vader

And up until about a month ago, an Agent Venom

Catch? The pops are always blown out and sell down extremely quickly after replenishment. I think the store manager is like the worlds biggest pop collector or something because the #$## just doesn't make sense lol.

Yeah, 3 for me (2 MOMC) one to open cause he's in my top 3 favorite marvel characters, 2 for my 2 buddies and one for my dad. Rest easy lol I don't scalp on eBay. Don't get me wrong, scalping is easy and all but I simply don't need the money. My time is very valuable to me so if I was gonna scalp a fig, I would have to make like $80-$100 in net profit to make it worthwhile and that's rare for a legend these days.

I really don't get scalpers when they're like selling a fig for $10-15 over retail because it's not like you actually make that difference in profit when you factor the tax you paid on the fig, shipping, and the plethora of Ebay fees...way too much of a time investment to make a whole whopping $10 bucks but hey, to each their own I guess.

Exactly right! But they're also vermin as well! A guy with his daughter was in Target in the toy section for Bratz. There was this fool clearing the pegs out and the guy asked if he could get one for his girl. The fool said "yeah, we can make a deal outside the store after I buy these" with the little girl standing right there! Like I said; VERMIN!!!
