Near Complete Set V3

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. We are only two days away from the next reveals of Marvel Legends with New York Comic Con coming and the Hasbro Brand panel happening at 5:15 PM - 6:15 PM EDT (10:15-11:15 GMT). I should say to people that they will be sharing the panel with Transformers, Star Wars, and GI Joes so don't be expecting a whole bunch of figures. I'm guessing they will reveal half a wave (most likely a Spidey BAF wave) at NYCC and other half at their 1027 livestream.

So let's see if we can wish a figure into reality. Today we have a missing Legends from Captain America side of the Marvel Universe, the daughter of Red Skull, Synthea Shmidt, AKA Sin. I honestly think this character will get made eventually. This is a highly sought after character especially for Cap fans. It's more a matter of when than if.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. We have a couple of things to talk about today so let's start with the figure that was revealed during the weekend, with a look at the Sentinels (The Animated Series). I have also updated the Prime Sentinels (Grunts) by adding a Mark IV section to this since you can easily use the new Sentinel as a comic figure. (I know there will be a "Um, Actually" fella but looking through all of the designs, the Mark IV seems to be the closest to the animated series versions).

We also start looking at our next Team, the X-men's counterpart, Brotherhood Of Mutants. Don't worry this will not be as long as it was for the Avengers or X-men, but there was so many incarnations I have to break this down into 2 or 3 parts. Today we look at the original incarnation, the short lived second Magneto team, the first Mystique team, the Toad team and the Dark Beast / Havok team. (Note I will not include the Brotherhood team from The Brotherhood #1 comic. That is not the same as this team.)

As for what we need from each version:

• Original incarnation: We pretty much have all of this team. We just need a proper Mastermind and a FA Scarlet Witch. I can see Astra being done but it is unlikely. Unus can easily be slipped into one of the Amazon box sets. Lorelei might get made but it's unlikely. Alpha has no chance of being made and we are just waiting on Vanisher at some point.
• Magneto's second team: You can forget pretty much all of these with the exception of Slither but that is more for the Serpent Society then Brotherhood.
• Mystique first team: We pretty much have all of these members. Only Blindspot is left but she was retconned into membership and has no chance of being made. I won't include the Freedom Force members as they are their own thing.
• Toad's team: We have most of these members with Phantazia and Thornn being possible with Masque having a lesser chance of being made. Fun fact, this is what the Toad figure is based one.
• Dark Beast / Havok teams: Only two members of this team left, Fatale and Ever, and...... I doubt anyone will ask for them as they haven't been seen since.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Today we look at the only new character from the past couple of weeks' reveals with a look at the leader of the Acolytes, Fabian Cortez. We don't know where or when this will be released but it is rumored to be part of the next X-wave. As for whether we will get more of the Acolytes and..... I only see a handful of them being done. Exodus obviously, Frenzy and maybe Colossus in his Acolyte gear but other than that I don't see a lot being done.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Today we finish off our look at the X-men's counterpart, Brotherhood Of Mutants. Please note I didn't include the Sunspot version as they weren't even a Brotherhood team, just Donald Pierce tricking the Young X-men into believing they were. I also didn't include the future Brotherhood because they arrived a Prime Universe team.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Last year, Hasbro released Corsair and Ch'Od, thus starting to build the space pirate team, the Starjammers. However, there are two characters that need to be made, one of them being the skunk-like girl and focus of this Missing Legends, Hepzibah. (If you want me to talk about Raza, then enter it here Requests). I honestly don't know which version of this character I want. I have seen some great customs like this one, this one, or this one.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Last week I posted a Missing Legends on Hepzibah and in it I asked you if you wanted me to do a Missing Legends on the last of the core members of the Starjammers. Well, you lot were quite vocal about it as I got a few submissions on the Request page right after. So, jumping ahead of everyone else, which is saying something because I had under 40 characters you want me to talk about, here he is, Raza Longknife.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addict. Today we move onto another mutant team as we look at the first "next generation" of X-men and the first of...... hundreds of spin-offs of the leading mutant team. We look at the team we have a majority of members for with the New Mutants. Okay granted, we don't have them in the original training costume, but we have had many of the members in some form or another. In fact we only have 11 members left to be made with only Bird-Brian I believe never having a chance of being made.

Lastly, we also look at the latest character to be made into a Marvel Legend with the forgotten side-kick of Spider-man, Bailey Briggs aka Spider-boy. This is a fairly new character but I'm glad to have him because you know, new character is still a new character.

Hey my fellow Plastic Addicts. I hope you all had a happy holiday and a fantastic new year. After nearly two weeks of work, I finally had some time off work so I'm back with some Character Updates, mostly from the reveals from the December livestream that had at the start of that month. Of the reveals for those, eight of them were new characters for the most part, with the rest being a mix of a few upgrades to previous figures and some new costumes.

Starting with the upgrades, which is basically switching out the previous figures with new ones:

• Agent Venom - his original Agent Venom look
• Spider-man - his unlimited look
• Spider-man (Unlimited)
• Wolverine (Ultimate)

Next we have the figures that are new costumes:

• Cyclops - Added a X-Factor section
• Scarlet Spider (Kaine Parker) - added a Clone Saga section
• The Lizard (Amazing Spider-man) - added a NWH section
• Professor X - added a Safari suit section
• Wolverine - Added a X-treme X-men section

And finally we have the figures that have a better image #:

• Nightcrawler (Age of Apocalypse)

Now with those out of the way, let's talk about some "new" characters. Well, I say new characters, but they are really just some quick Alternate versions. Starting with the animated stuff, with Chameleon (The Animated Series), which is the one character of the series I hate. Not because of the character itself but because of how much the change. They made him a mute, Russian spy that uses a device to change his form instead of using masks and his own acting abilities. Not to mention, they made him a NAZI and the adopted son of Red Skull and the adopted brother of Electro, who wasn't even Max Dillon in the series!!! No mention of his relationship with Kraven, a central part of his comic story arc!!..............that being said, I still pre-order the figure. LOL.

Next up with have Professor X (The Animated Series). Yes, I already put this figure on the Prime page but like how the TAS Vulture can be used as a comic figure, so too can this version. The only real difference between this and the comic version is the green color.

Lastly we have a figure no one ever thought would be made because it seemed like Marvel and the fans generally forgot it existed, The Nick Hammond staring series, Spider-man (70’s TV series). Fun Fact, I didn't know this until I research this BUT he has appeared in the comics as part of the Spider-verse event. I honestly thought he was one of the variants they were allowed to use but here we are.

Next time we will look at the final figure from the Spider-man wave, Francine Frye's Electro.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Today we finally start on the NEW character that were revealed at the December livestream. We start with Spider-man wave. I have already done Spider-boy, Spider-man Unlimited, Kaine, Agent Venom and TAS Chameleon so we move onto the only female character in this wave, Electro (Frye). I am honestly delighted to have this character. With the female Beetle and White Rabbit, we now have three of the Syndicate members. All we need now is Lady Octopus and Scorpia to complete the original version of them. If they wanted to add Kraven's daughter and Trapstr that would be nice.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Today we begin our look at the newest X-men wave, the Nemesis/Genocide wave, which should be going up for pre-order on Thursday. Out of the wave, four of them are new characters so let's start with the latest addition to the Gen-X team, and the third member following Monet and Chamber, (Fourth if you count Jubilee but she hasn't been made in this costume yet), Husk. I honestly see Synch being done soon with Skin coming eventually. Hell, they already hand the perfect hands for Skin following the Mr Fantastic stretched out hands.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. It's been a while since I did a Missing Legends that was on the list you guys have given me (the last being Missing Legends – Hezpibah) and not some random character I did because of some holiday or movie release. That list is long but it's getting smaller so if you have a character (and just character, not a costume or team), you want made into a Marvel Legends and want me to talk about what possible figures we could get, please enter here - Missing Legends Requests.

But today we look at a character from the Sunspot's AIM/New/US Avengers period of Marvel and the lover to Toni Ho, Aikku Jokinen aka Enigma or as she is now known as Pod-2. I honestly see this being slotted into a random Avengers wave particularly in an Iron Man wave as she is an armored character.

(Forgot to add this yesterday) Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Before we begin with this, I’m going to do a Peter Griffin and the Godfather meme and admit…… I have never played any of the Marvel VS. Capcom games. I know, I know. I’m a Marvel fan and have never played one of the best loved gaming series? It’s not that I didn’t want to play it. It’s just when it was released I was only just getting into comics and I was 15 so I couldn’t afford it. But it seems that many of you have played it and loved it so they keep adding to it. Thus the main reason (I believe at least) that they decided to give us this character as she is more famous for being part of this roster then her comic appearances. The former Morlock and Gene Nation terrorist turned X-man, Marrow.

Next time we hope universe and head back to the Age Of Apocalypse universe as we look at that universe’s Gambit.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Today we hope back over to the Age Of Apocalypse Universe with our 20th character from that universe. That's right with Gambit (Age of Apocalypse) we have finally arrived at twenty characters from this universe, and I hope many more to come. I don't mind if like Gambit, these are shatter over various X-men waves. I don't think we will get everyone, like for example the rest of the X-Ternals, but I do think we will get the majority of the X-men.

Speaking of the AOA, next time we look at the Prime Version of an AOA original character, Holocaust, when we look at Genocide.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. If you missed it last night, Hasbro has announced that they are doing a livestream on Friday. I have no idea what will be revealed beyond NWH Electro but I still have stuff from the previous livestream to finish. So let's finish it. Today we look at the BAF of the latest X-men wave by looking at a character that was created to be the 616 version of an AOA original character, Genocide, known as Nemesis because..... well would you call a toy Genocide if you were selling it for children? I wonder if we will get anymore of En Sabah Nur's kids or his wife?

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. I have no new characters to talk about today so let's look at a new team. Today is something special as not only is it a new team but it's also the first of a sub-team we will talk about. Since I'm still on X-23, we will look at a more modern team, Jean Grey's team that she created when she was framed for murder, X-men: Red (Grey). Unfortunately we don't have any of the costumes from this series but hey, you can still form it.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Next week we see the launch of the "Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man" cartoon and like many I'm........ not looking forward to it. Before you go saying it, it's not because of the race swapping. I don't give a damn about that. It just looks..... uninteresting to me. But the one thing I'm looking forward to is the fact that they might be adapting the Identity Crisis arc. For those that don't know, after Norman Osborn was revealed to have survived his glider impaling him and had been behind many of the tragedies that Spidey had suffered, he purchased part of the Daily Bugle and framed Spider-man for murder of a random thug. Using the paper, he condemned Spider-man turning the city against him and offering a reward for his capture. Thus, hundreds, if not thousands of bounty hunters, vigilantes, and villains began hunting him down looking for the reward. Eventually Spidey and MJ devised a plan. Spidey would instead adopt a new identity. However, instead of just using one, they decide to use four, Dusk (who's suit he got from the Negative Zone's hero of the same name), Hornet (who Hobie Brown helped design), Ricochet and Prodigy (that MJ designed herself). Eventually, he was able to clear his name and hung up these costumes.

BUT..... that wasn't the end of these identities as a few months later, a group of four teenagers were given these costumes, which were enchanted by Mephisto (he really does like f-ing with Spidey doesn't he?), by the WWII hero Black Marvel. They became the Slingers. So to celebrate the release of the new cartoon, for this and next weekend, I will go through all four characters in Missing Legends and hoping Hasbro will hear our call and start giving us this long-requested team. I won't tell you which one I will do beforehand but starting today we look at the leader of the team, the man that took on the identity that Spidey use to portray his strength and heroic nature, Prodigy (Gilmore).

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Before we begin, to the person that asked me to do the "Golden Age Human Torch", that was actually the first Missing Legends I did - Human Torch (Hammond). It seems some people don't know but you can find all the Missing Legends I have done here - Missing Legends.

Anyway onto today's post, we continue our look at the Slinger team. I never mentioned it yesterday but each of the Identity Crisis' personas were based on parts of Peter's persona. Prodigy was his heroic and strong part. Hornet was his kind, tech savvy side. Ricochet was his sarcastic, athletic side. and Dusk was his stealthy, silent side. They didn't translate over to the Slingers, just thought I'd mention it. Speaking of Dusk, Peter wasn't the first to have that persona. It was actually two heroes from the Negative Zone who were using it to fight against Blastaar. Peter obtained the costume when he went to the Negative Zone and was given the suit by the second hero to battle Blastaar. Peter brought the suit to the real world and began using it.

As for the Slingers version, Dusk (St. Commons), this was the only one that was taken up by a woman instead of a man....... Which is why I'm worried that if they make a Dusk figure, it will be the male version instead of Cassie. Yes it would give us a new character AND a new costume for Spidey but we all want the female version. The other three could easily be used as a Spider-man costume but she can't. Well, if Hasbro ever decides to make these (which is possible because they will be appearing the new Cartoon), we will see which version they make.

The next member will be done NEXT Saturday. Ricochet or Hornet? who will it be?

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Did you lot watch the "Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man"? I did and I admit I was very surprised by it. I actually liked it, and I didn't think I would. But it does look like the suits in the series are just random costume he will make. None the least we continue our look at the Slinger's with the one character that is no longer alive, Hornet (McDonough). Like I said in the post, this would require alot of new sculpting. But I fear they may just make Hobie's version and call it a day.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Today we look at the final member of the Slingers with a character that has seen the most "screen time" since they broke up. We look at the mutant member of the team, someone who once when to a support group to quit being a hero, Ricochet (Gallo).

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. For the past two weeks, we have been talking about a team that Hasbro has yet to bring into plastic form. (Okay they have two members in Prowler and Cyber, but they don't count). However today, we have our FIRST team that Hasbro has actually completed..... just not in the same costume as when they were members of this team, but it still counts. We look at the team formed to search for Wolverine's body following his death, Wolverines (Team).

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. We continue our look at all the teams that Laura Kinney / X-23 / Wolverine have been a part of. Yes. I'm still working through her team. For a character that hasn't been around as long as the rest, she has been a part of a load of teams. God help me when I get to her dad and brother(s). Anyway, today we look at a team that long outlived its initial interest as we look at the original and young X-men brought to the present time and not going back to their time for a long time, All-New X-men.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. We are less than a week away from Captain America: Brave New World and I am currently trying to design an Ideal Wave for that movie, comic book based obviously and will come out on Wednesday. Ironically one of the character I was thinking of putting into the wave was Porcupine..... who just happened to be the next character I have on my Missing Legends list (Requests here). But I couldn't choose which one to do due to the fact that both character who wore the costume have become a core part of their respective mythos. So I decided to do both Porcupine (Gentry) form the Avenger/Cap mythos and Porcupine (Gocking) from the Spider-woman mythos.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. FINALLY!! A non-X-men team. Look I love the X-men, but out of the sixteen teams I have done, nine of them have been mutant based. Oh, I'm still on X-23 but thankfully she has been on more than just an X-based team. Like when she was enrolled in the Avengers Academy. It's was because of her time in this that she was part of Avengers Arena (which I highly recommend you reading.) It's also because of researching this, I now have two characters I can talk about, Normie Osborn, now Red Goblin and his symbiote. Why? well find out on Sunday. Anyway, what the next team?...... another X-team? Son of a ....

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. First of all, I would like to say I went to see Brave New World, and I actually liked it. Much better than those critics say it is. But now that Red Hulk as made his MCU debut, lets look at another red character. While I was researching the Avengers Academy and got to Normie Osborn, I realise.... we actually have a figure of him.... kind of. You see, Normie has taken on his grandfather's identity and appearance as the new heroic Red Goblin (Osborn). Yes that figure that came in the Kingpin wave can now be used as a separate character. Even the symbiote is a different version, known as Rascal.... who is next on our list. This will go up on Sunday of next week.
