Near Complete Set V3

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. This is it. The 999th NCS. 999 character I have done with the next being of course the 1000th character. But that is going to have to wait until Hasbro reveals at least 2 more characters. We currently have 3 new characters that I have in the poll, Throg, Aaron Davis and Muse, but I want to wait until we have at least 5 for the poll. So with this, the NCS part of the site is officially on hold. I know it may be months before we get the two new characters but I want it to be special. So I will be concentrating on Team Members and Missing Legends/Top 10/Ideal wave until Hasbro give us those two characters.

Anyway, onto today character we have a look at T’Challa grandfather who was retconned into being the Black Panther of World War II, Black Panther (Azzuri). You see up until it was changed, it was T’Chaka that was that was the one that met with Cap in WWII. But due to the sliding timeline of Marvel, this was later changed to Azzuri. Give it another few decades and it will probably be his great-grandfather.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. As we wait for Hasbro to reveal two brand new characters, how about we add to the our ever increasing wish list of the characters we want in Marvel Legends? Today we look at a character that was introduced as Nightcrawler's father but turned out not to be his father but they still used his DNA to create...... My brain needs a reboot. Today we look at Azazel. I honestly think we COULD get him a wave but given his appearance, it will more likely be a Pulse exclusive, similar to why they couldn't sell Mephisto in retail. Maybe a 2-pack with Nightcrawler?

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Today we start something special. I was looking at the next character in Missing Legends I needed to look at and it turned out to be a Daredevil character, and I realised that the second series of Daredevil: Born Again is out this month, the 25th. So I thought I would do something to celebrate it. Usually that means a Ideal Wave or Missing Legends but I thought this time, I would make a whole month dedicated to the character and his side of the Marvel universe. So from now until the release of the show, expect Team Members, Missing Legends and yes, a Ideal wave based around the Horn-head. I'm thinking of doing this for later releases, like Spider-man: Brand New Day and X-men '97 series. (Before you ask, I'm leaving Muse until the 1000 NCS poll.)

So for the first Team Member of the month, we have a team that Daredevil led for a brief period, though they never had an official name in the Prime Universe, they were called Marvel Knights (Team) because that is what the comic was called. None the less you can actually form this team with your figure with mostly the right costumes. This is the team that the Netflix Defenders should have been called.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Today we have a character that essentially inspired me to make this month based on Daredevil and his expanded universe in anticipation for the upcoming second series of the Born Again series. But not only that but this is a first for Missing Legends. I have done characters from alternate universe like Killraven, Fixx and Earth-S's Power Princess. But they were all unique characters to that universe (at the time). This is the first time that someone has asked me to do an alternate universe version of a character we already have. This time we are heading to the Noir universe where with take a look at what Daredevil Noir (Noir-Verse) would be like in 1920/30s.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Today we continue of DD month as we look at another team the horned head has led and one that was only created because Perlmutter and Loeb stole the name for their Netflix series to spite Fiege. As is standard for Marvel, they created a new team in an effort for synergy when they created Defenders (Manhattan). I may sound bitter but that is only because when I think of the Defenders, I think of the Hulk, Dr. Strange, Namor, Silver Surfer and others. Not these guys who were working together for years before the Netflix shows were even a thing.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Over the years, Marvel Legends has given us many DUOs. Cloak and Dagger, Ant-man and the Wasp, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. They have all been released in either the same wave, in a 2-pack or at least a separately but not that far apart from each others. But there has been on set of Duos that have been separated for far too long. Way back in 2015 in the Spider-man Rhino wave, we got Misty Knight and believed that her partner would be not far behind. However it is not 2026, eleven years later, and with the exception of the Netflix version, not only is Misty now yet out of date but we have yet to get Colleen Wing. And the thing is, Hasbro now has the absolute perfect body to make her in the form of the Black Widow/Sharon Carter body mold. They have no excuse now not to make Colleen but also give us an updated Misty. Come on Hasbro. Give us them in the same wave or as a 2-pack. You did it for the Heroes for Hire. Now do it for the Daughters of the Dragon.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day, or as we call it over here in Ireland, Paddy's Day. And like I to do every year, I try and highlight an Irish character that we need made in ML form. It is also Daredevil: Born Again S2 month and as many of you know, Matt is an Irish Catholic character. But I done an NCS of DD already so I thought I would do another version of him and since Hasbro has hinted that they are doing more 2099, I thought it would be nice to look at that universe's version of DD. Now, I could have done the newer Samuel Fisk version but that is a different universe that just happened to be also called the 2099 universe. (It gets confusing). So instead I went to Miguel's home universe and looked up Eric Nelson's, Foggy's Descendant. So let's have a look at Daredevil 2099 (Nelson).

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Have you seen the trailer for Spider-man: Brand New Day? I'm sure many of you saw that the Hand are going to be a part of it. Well, by pure, and I do mean pure, coincidence the next Daredevil: Born Again s2 Month theme post just happens to be Hand (Team). Like SHIELD, there are many members of this team that will never get made, mostly because they are civilians or random grunt/background characters. But there are a few characters I think have a chance, even a slight one.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. We are closing up on the second series of Daredevil: Born Again and near the end of Daredevil Month. I have just one more thing to post TOMORROW but for now let's look at a character I have wanted Hasbro to make for a long time. Yes, for once this is not a request but something personal as I have wanted a Gladiator figure for a while..... No. Not the mohawk, purple Superman homage. The Daredevil villain, costume shop owner and sometimes believes he is a Roman Gladiator, Gladiator (Potter). I know we have a lot DD villains that we need but it is surprising to me that we don't have this figure yet. Not only is he one of DD most frequent foes and later allies, but I thought when we got Whirlwind with his own buzzsaws that Hasbro would use those to make this character. Plus he is such an easy character to make like I describe in the page.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Before we begin if you haven't seen it yet, on Tuesday I posted a request for my fans to request a character from the Punisher mythos or alternate universe that they would like to see me do during Punisher Month beginning at April 21st. I have gotten two but for the person who asked for the Guardroid from Capcom Video game, I'm sorry but I would prefer an actual character, preferably from the comics. But don't be afraid to ask for another character. It's always is nice to research characters that I have never heard of.

Now onto today, since the next Team that Xemnu was part of is taking a while as there are many one off characters that were part of it, let move onto the next character, X-cutioner (TAS), and look at the only team he was part of, the Friends of Humanity (The Animated Series). This group of mutant hating racist is more famous for their appearance in the cartoon then comics and there really has only been two named characters in the group, the other one being Graydon Creed, who I can see being made at some point.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. With the new Hulk subline, there are many figures and characters that we want. But there are a few that are so obscure that they can only be used as a BAF. Such is the case with this characters, the psychotic brother of The Leaders (which is saying something), Philip Sterns, a.k.a. Madman (Stern). Honestly, I could see this being made as a BAF at some point but not for a while as he is pretty obscure. Unless they do some sort of two pack with his brother, which is very unlikely. But all in all, a simple repaint of some version of Hulk with a new head and new neck brace and it would be sorted.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Good news. Dues to a knee and shoulder injury, I'm now off work for the rest of the week and I was on Holidays next week. Don't worry, I'm fine. But this does mean that for the next week and a half, I will be posting almost every day. We start this week off with a look at another massive organization with a lot of random nobodies that will never get a figure. Today we look at the most evil corporation in Marvel, and that is saying something, the evil oil barrens, Roxxon Energy Corporation. Well I say a bunch of nobodies but there is one executive that might get made and that is Dario Agger, who I have been using the Power Rangers Lightning Collection Mighty Minotaur as a stand in. Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. There are many character in the X-men part of Marvel that people want in Marvel Legends form. But a lot of them aren't even mutants and a few of them don't even have superpowers. Such is the case for this character who was originally introduced as a member of Cable's Six Pack team, the precursor to the X-force. He would later become somewhat of Cable's rival, constantly trying to capture him. The high member of SHIELD, G.W. Bridge. I actually could see this being done in an X-men retro wave, or maybe a X-force retro wave. I do have him planned for a Ideal wave though but I won't say which.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Since it's been nearly two years since the D+W but Hasbro have only really just started pushing out more figures for them. There are a few more coming and if the rumors are true we will be getting some in the next few months as single releases or as part if the upcoming Doomsday day wave. This seems to be in an effort to complete This team of characters, The Void’s Resistance (MCU). Like I said we have most of the members. We are just missing Elektra and Gambit who are rumored to be coming. But there is no word on if we will get a Chris Evan's Human Torch.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Today we celebrate our 75th Missing Legends Request with a look at a character that, as far as we know, is the only woman in the Prime universe that held the position of Scientist Supreme of AIM, Monica Rappaccini. Yes this is the same character that was in the MODOK cartoon. She is also the mother of Carmilla Black, who may or may not be the daughter of Bruce Banner and was seen in FNSM. Honestly, I can see this being done in an Avengers wave, since she is known mainly as a AIM member more than anything. Thankfully she has only one costume, but it is the skirt thing that might be a problem.

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Today we look at another Missing Legends character that can only be done in one way. These are the characters that known for being part of a team and pretty much nothing else so if they were to be made it would be as a multipack (2 or more). Such is the case with this character, a Wolverine supporting character that is rarely seen these day and a former team mate in Team X, John Wraith. Now, let's be clear, this is an easy character to make. Just repaint one of the suited bodies with a new head. It's just he wouldn't be place into a wave or retro card. No the only way to get this character is if Hasbro finally decides to give us Wolverine's Team X look and wanted to make it a 2-pack or a larger set. That is the only way I see this being done.

These guys were pretty much the same as the Weapon X program for Wolverine, constantly chasing her to try and bring her back but they met the same fate as that group. Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Today is my birthday. 41 and still collecting action figures and will never stop until I'm dead. And since it is my birthday, I decided to make a Missing Legends that I wanted...... and it was hard to decide. I thought to do something for Spider-man, since he is my favorite, but there was not really anyone that would warrant this. I looked at my wishlist but most if not all of them have been done or I have done a MLR for. I was going to make this Devil Dinosaur or some other MTO sized. I couldn't decided. But then I look at the list that I made after the Dragon Man MTO was revealed and saw there was a character on it that not only did I want, but so did Dwight Stall. Jesse Falcon and pretty much everyone who has made a MTO wishlist, the Thor villain, Mangog. Dwight and Jesse have been saying they want to make this character since the original Haslab Sentinel. Even shouting across the table when asked who they want made to fans. I would be very and I mean very surprised if we don't get him made this year.

Today, I will be talking about a character that has us asking "HOW THE HELL HASN'T THIS BEEN MADE YET?!!!" And yes, I meant to put that sentence in bold capital letters. Today we talk about probably Dr. Strange's greatest enemy, second to probably only Dormammu, Baron Mordo. No. Seriously. Why don't we have this guy yet, with him being in two of the Dr. Strange movies? This would be like having a Cap with Red Skull, Hulk without Leader and Spider-man without Doc Ock. He would be out by now.

It has been a while since I did a NCS. TOO LONG in fact. I have done several Missing Legends (that name is staying thank to the near unanimous voting for it) and have caught up with some Team Members. But now that we have five BRAND NEW characters, I can finally ask you who you want to hold the honor of being the 1000th NSC. Will it be the Frog of Thunder, Throg? The Serial Killer Muse? The Uncle to Miles Morales, Aaron Davis (the black Iron Spider)? Now onto the character updates, I won't be moving Robbie and Marrina over to the official pages just yet and that would bring the count over 1000. (By that, I mean they have been added to the characters list, but I haven't added the figures or updated the Alts, teams or Universes for them).

Speaking of Missing Legends, I have added a list of all the character that I have done a Missing Legends that have gotten official figures. I'm doing this for two main reason. 1. to show you that Hasbro does look at these lists, especially if the new leaked turns out to be true as there are three of them that I have done a MLR for. and 2...... so I personally can keep track at the amount of them. I'm getting older and can't keep track.

Now onto the character updates. Believe or not, out of the older characters we got revealed yesterday, Only one of them were a remake with the rest being new costumes or brand new characters. (I know some thing that the Rivals are same character but since they exist in a separate universe, they are new characters.) So let's see what we have:

• Bullseye (Lester) - This one is kind of cheating since many were using the Heroic Age Hawkeye are Dark Hawkeye but since this is the official version, I'm putting it here.

• U.S.Agent (Walker) - added a Force Works section

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. This is it. This is the character you guys have voted to be the 1000th Near Complete Set character. This was a very close race, with Throg and the winner, Box (Boch) with only a handful of votes in between them. But don't worry. The rest will be getting NCS over the next couple of weeks. But let's not stop there. Let's also add a 1001 and 1002 NCS as we move Marrina (Smallwood) and Ghost Rider (Reyes) from the Missing Legends list to the official list.

I would also like to remind people that next Tuesday, April 20th, we will be beginning our Punisher month in celebration of the upcoming Punisher TV Special. I will be doing stuff differently this time as I will be doing a NCS once a week to caught up with what we were revealed. However the other day will be either a MLR or a TM.
