Alright Bishop!!!!!!!!!!! Now I just need a Hasbro Gambit figure and my X-Men team is complete. I am not concerned with getting Jim Lee versions anymore. Just want to finish my comic figure collection as best as I can.

I can live with that. But they better dang well give us a decent MCU Wasp... with an unmasked head!

Well a decent wasp at the unmasked head would be nice but I can live without it

Yes, Bi(freakin')shop, finally! Let's all collectively pray for alternate bald & greasy Jheri Curl head sculpts & removable red scarf. An Omega Red update has been a long time coming. I just hope they make the tenticles somewhat movable & don't give them the typical static symbiote arms treatment we've had to endure for years. In my opinion, they can't outdo the TB version if they don't get that one detail right. Wolverine and Lady Deadpool are easy enough to predict and easy enough not to screw up. Will we get to see toe claws this time? You better believe one of those Deadpool will be a movie version and I bet dollars to donuts the other one will be DP in his X-Men uniform.

I'm thinking Warpath still makes it into the Sasquatch wave. The pics posted (I forget by who) showed the computer listing 7 figures in the wave and we've only seen 6 revealed. Unless they changed the count for this wave we still have one more that needs to be unveiled.

As far as the whole Disney/Fox thing not being such a bad thing, I'm still holding my breath. Of course, as far as the movies go it will be a great thing, but I still think the ML lines will take on the same process as all the others. At this point I just don't think they exactly know what to do with it in regards to DP. With the decision that DP would remain an "R" rated property I think Marvel & Hasbro have to be really careful with what they may be perceived to be marketing to children. Believe me, once they figure out the angle MCU will be just as prominent in both DP & X-Men waves as the others. Luckily, for now, DP is about the only movie figure worth doing. I mean, we can all agree the movie version of Domino is pretty bland and I don't think anyone is clamoring for a movie version of NSTW tho I wouldn't be too opposed to a movie Cable or Colossus.

Crossing my fingers that Strong Guy finally gets his day in the sun as the BAF.

See guy the Fox buy out is a good thing.

Yeah I was super excited when I heard the news and still am. I want to see the X films done right. As far as figures go, I am pretty close to wrapped up with the comic figures. Just need a trench coat Gambit and I am good. Prof X would be cool. So would redo's of Banshee and Longshot but not going to hold my breath.

At first I was against the idea of Mickeyland buying up all these IPs, but it will be good for the figure industry, and it's not like Fox was making good Marvel movies.. which they weren't.

Looks like this is no longer a rumour.

Lady Deadpool - I was really tempted to get the out of scale MS version but this looks incredible. I mean just look at that ponytail!

Omega Red - I be honest I always found the TB OR to be an only okay figure. But this one is miles better. I do hope that you can switch out the tentacles though.

X-men Deadpool - HAHAHA!! Hasbro I love you for even considering this version. This is just a fun addition.

it also should be known that the Ant-man and Wasp wave might be merged with the Avengers Infinity wave.

Not surprisingly since the first one ended up at retail outlet stores. I just hope they look into doing a giant-man figure again.

I dunno, I don't exactly ever remember Bishop or Laura-rine or even any of these figures being 100 percent confirmed. Up to this point everything about this wave has been pretty much rumor, hasn't it? Don't get me wrong, I'd love for both of them to be a lock but the way they only revealed these 3 figures reeks of the way they revealed first the Black Panther wave, then the Infinity War wave, specifically the 3, and only 3 comic figures first and then the movie figures much later to complete the wave as the movie nears it's release. Remember, we still haven't been shown the 2nd half of the Infinity War wave, but it's all but confirmed they are MCU based. And with Proxima Midnight most likely movie based that means we're getting 4 MCU figures vs 3 comic figures. Oh, joy!

All I'm saying is we can pretty much bank on a movie DP and most likely a movie Cable, so the real question is who gets bumped to make room for that 2nd movie fig, Bishop or Laura-rine (I'm sorry, I just refuse to call her Wolverine)? My personal preference is for Laura to be sacrificed as I actually believe the return of the REAL Wolverine will eventually force Marvel, reluctantly of course, to revert Laura back to her X-23 identity. Sorry, forcing gender identity politics has a way of turning around & biting you in the ayass. Ain't that right, Thor?

Back on subject, here's an even more horrifying scenario. How bout, based on the fact that only 3 comic figures have been revealed thus far, if both Bishop & Laura get the gate to make room for Cable & Domino movie figs? Now, we all know the Domino movie design is lame (what happened to that whole staying true to the source material thing that made the first movie great, huh?), but as we learned from Valkyrie & Karl, being a lame movie character doesn't necessarily exclude you from becoming a lame action figure. With the acquisition of the Deadpool movie rights, is it out of the question to think Marvel may have coerced (ie. forced) Hasbro to "reorganize" this particular wave, along with every other proceeding wave, to more resemble what's pretty much become standard for all ML assortments? I guess we'll just have to hope Toyfare will shed a bit more light on the situation next month.

On the positive side I do love this version of the X-Men DP, plus it opens the possibility to do the "serious" X-Men DP as an anchor for a future wave. Omega Red looks amazing and it's good to see they wasted no time utilizing the Deathlock buck to make another awesome character. Looks like that Hyperion on a non-Hyperion buck might be a reality after all. Lady DP looks pretty good and I'm sure the rest of the Deadpool Corp. won't be far behind. Even though it will never top the first figure, the new Deadpool looks pretty good on the Spidey 2099 buck. Gives it that 90's skin tight look. Hopefully the final products paint app is as glossy as the press image, though I really doubt it. Also it would be really cool it they included Headpool & Dogpool as package-ins with DP & Lady DP. Whaddaya say, Hasbro? Time to show the loyal fan base a little love with another Magneto head sculpt type bonus. Most likely we'll see them as a 2 pack in a future wave. Gotta milk 'em for all their worth I guess.

Oh well, here's to hoping Bishop ends up making the final cut & even better, Strong Guy getting the call for the BAF. Team Strong Guy for life!

There's no way this even remotely connected to buyout. The buyout has yet to actually take place, it's only been announced. These figures were likely slated for release well before. The design/prototype phase all takes longer than a month. We now have promo pics. This was planned before disney announced to buy fox.

I agree the buyout might not go through for another two years. Meaning Disney earn nothing from Fox for the immediate future. I highly doubt theyll be promoting Deadpool or the X-Men until everythings gone through fully.

    • Netflix has released a new trailer for the second season of Iron fist which will air on the streaming service September 7, 2018.

    • Dropped by Target yesterday. Only X-Men figure left was Gladiator. They had a single Ross vs. Killmonger set and a couple of Falcon and Wintersoldiers. Was kinda disappointed, but no worries, I already ordered Storm and Sabretooth off Amazon, and once my replacement Psylocke arrives I can move on to Deadpool and Venom.
    • According to Variety, Disney despite appeals from the cast still have no plans to reinstate Guardians Of The Galaxy Director James Gunn after they fired him almost a month ago due to a number of old but very inappropriate tweets regarding rape and pedophilia were dug up online that he had made. The decision to not reinstate him comes after a meeting he had with studio chairman Alan Horn.

There were rumors running around that Marvel president Kevin Feige wanted Gunn reinstated as well, however he apparently was out of town when this meeting between Gunn and Horn happened and reports indicate now that Feige stands by Disney in their decision. Feige will begin the process of finding a replacement for Gunn when he returns. Our money is on Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi. Also no word if Gunn's script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 will be used or if the movies 2020 release will be delayed or not.

The truth be told, if you bother to read all of Gunn's old tweets I don't think there was any way Disney, a company that has built itself on the idea it is a family oriented company making movies for kids could risk bringing Gunn back. The political reasons why the Tweets were dug up are immaterial and while Gunn claims his tweets about rape and pedophilia were done as a "joke" and to be "edgy", it has left many questioning Gunn's true state of mind when he made those tweets. If Disney had brought him back and later something else came out indicating the man is some kind of pedophile (which we aren't saying he is), it could possibly destroy Disney as a company. We still don't really understand how Disney did not know about the tweets when they hired him initially, but now that everyone knows about them, there would be no chance of playing the ignorance card going forward. There have also been rumors Warner Brothers might try and hire Gunn for DC Comic based movies, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one either, pretty much for the same reason Disney won't hire him back. Gunn at some point, once things die down will likely be able to find work again assuming nothing else about him comes to light, but I doubt it will involve movies that are geared primarily for kids.
