Sony has released a second trailer for their upcoming Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse animated movie which opens in theaters on 12.14.18.

"Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," the upcoming 3D animated superhero movie, which tells the origin story of Miles Morales, an Afro-Latino teenager who discovers that he possesses superpowers -- and his abilities are very much like Spider-man's.

In this big-screen Sony Pictures Animation adaptation of the Miles Morales comic books, Miles lives in an alternate Brooklyn where Peter Parker is much older and also appears to be lying low, yet has decided to take Miles under his wing. The two develop a mentor-student relationship while Miles must learn to balance his life as a superhero with his life as an ordinary high school kid.

When I first heard about Sony making an animated Spider-Man Film. I was like “that’s gonna be dumb”, but now I’m eating my words! This is an amazing trailer! Better than the first! I’m excited!

The first couple teasers and trailers were meh. But the latest ones have really managed to grab my interest. Completely agree that the art style is very catchy. Voice acting seems spot on as well. That has always been hit or miss with Marvel animated movies.

I was not excited for this, but seeing this new trailer I am more inclined to watch it.  The animation seems very nice and the movie looks to be entertaining. Those Spiderverse episodes o Ultimate Spiderman cartoon were very fun.

I cannot overstate how flipping excited I am for this movie!
I'd gotten the Spider-Ham Marvel Legend solely for the Venom BAF piece and just threw the pork back into his box and stuffed it away somewhere. Not familiar with the character, but I'm not really into that nonsense. Still, his presence in these scenes was not entirely unwelcome. Maybe by the end of the movie I'll want to put him on display with the rest of the figures. Doubtful, but who knows.

Biggest quality of this is definitely the animation style. Not to say Spider-Verse is a bad story but Marvel really has milked its worth dry which kinda degrades it novelty for me.

Either way, looking forward to catching this on the silver screen!

One thing I'm really digging is Scarlet Spider, and how he seems to be the only character in this movie who they more or less just kept exactly the same as the comic counterpart, I'm still waiting on a new Scarlet Spider with RYV buck from Legends, I'd update my Rhino wave figure with that.

Saw it over the weekend. A fantastic movie with a lot of great characters. Shame we have to wait until next year for Beyond the SpiderVerse
