Question for displaying Marvel Legends

Recommended Posts

Hey y'all,

This might be a dumb question but I legitimately don't know- does  scotch tape damage figures at all? I'm trying to have a display where I have Spideys perched on a vertical surface, and my first thought was to have them up there with invisible tape or something, but I'm not too sure if that'd end up being harmful to the figures. Let me know what you think, or if there are better alternatives. Thanks!

First, scotch tape is useless for this sort of thing. Even on the higher end brands the adhesive is to weak to hold the weight of most action figures, and depending on what building material your surface is made of, may not stick at all. Second, most tape adhesives tend to stay on action figures after you remove the tape itself AND attracts dust like a magnate.

If you're really married to the adhesive idea, I'd go to the office supplies department of Walmart and pick up some poster putty. There are several different brands with different names, but basically it's the stuff they used to hang posters back in elementary school. You could also try Low-Temp Hot Glue (make sure its LOW TEMP). It's a little ungainly, but its clear and I guarantee it'll stick.

Thanks for the advice, that's really helpful! Yeah I've always just displayed figures standing up, I'm just now wanting to get more adventurous/elaborate with my displays. Much appreciated!

I'd like to offer a more creative approach;

Find some bamboo skewers (for shiskabob/fondue) and use them either in Spidey's back hole, or peg holes... If you add color to them, they blend into any background you can muster. No stress/residue on the figures. Maximum posability
