New Marvel Studios 10 Years Gold POP! Vinyl Figures From Funko

Recommended Posts

Funko has created a series of ten gold chrome Marvel Pop! bobbleheads to commemorate the first decade of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We asked you to help decide the next gold chrome Marvel character – with the results close we decided to make TWO new chrome figures.

Introducing Iron Spider, he has enough gadgets and mechanical arms to propel any Super Hero to victory, and there’s no denying that the suit looks good in Chrome. And Doctor Strange, who looks anything but strange as a Chrome Pop! figure eager to take on any Super Villain. Look for these to be released later this year.

Never did get into Funko myself, had taken an interest in a black and white Mickey Mouse one but saw the paint job was pretty bad so I pretty much dismissed the whole line from there. Every now and then I'll see one that catches my eye, and its amazing to see how many franchises they have. Something for everyone, which I guess is part of why they are so popular. That said, that gold looks pretty snazzy.

Yeah, I don't really get the appeal of these, unless someone is an absolute completionist. They look like trophies. Vac-metal looks great on Pop! Vinyls that warrant it, with painted details on top of it- I have a Captain Phasma Pop! that's vac-metallized, and it looks awesome. A silver vac-metal Iron Man Mark 2, or movie Iron Monger, would be cool, but these, I don't get.
