#NYCC 2018 - Diamond Select Marvel Based Products

Shown below are images of the Marvel based products Diamond Select Toys had on display including Avengers: Infinity War Marvel Select, Marvel Minimates and a new Marvel Gallery Punisher statue.

This looks pretty much like the Cull Obsidian Thor, but with better detail. Are marvel Selects proportional to Marvel Legends? New to this whole thing, and since I've been having a little trouble getting a well priced CO Thor, I'd likely consider trying to buy this one instead.

Its been so long since Ive bought a minimate and with Toys R Us gone its alot harder for me to obtain them. I tend to like buying alot of the original and unique molds as well as favorite characters. I really want that Venom and Doppelganger set but where do they even sell them anymore? and can you even buy just one 2 pack and not the whole series? Ive been so out of the loop for a while now.

That Iron Spider And Groot look great!!!! I would get them but the scaling is probably way off with my Legends.

I’ve seen Minimates at Walgreens.

Depends on the character and figure really. Marvel select doesn’t tend to keep a consistent scale with their figures they’re just whatever they want them to be. Like that New Beast. He’s probably as tall as collossus when he shouldn’t be.  It some times you can scrunch them down in certain poses and make them work.

yeah those are exclusive and primarily based on the cartoon shows. They are less detailed and more stylized which im not a fan of and they are bland imo.

Oh okay. Now I know. I don’t have much knowledge about the minimates, but what I’ve seen they look cool. Just not for me. Got have cash for all the other collectibles lol

Hoping that dst would reveal more selects but we only got statues and mini mates. Don't get me wrong im happy for those people who collects those but just saying i wouldve liked to have seen more action figs.

Yeah it seems like smaller companies like DST and DC Collectibles more an more are gravitating to doing more statues and less action figures. I personally kinda feel you have so many companies making statues of the same characters over and over its getting kinda ridiculous but I am sure statues are cheaper to make and can be cranked out faster than action figures so they can produce smaller runs and still be profitable which is why they do them.

Understandable but still disappointing. Some of the best figures were produce under the Marvel Select line.

Yeah I havent been in the minimates game for years now. I would on occasion get some of the cooler unique and favored characters from TRU because they were exclusive there but since TRU is gone I dont go out of my way to find them. I feel like they have kind of slowed down on their Marvel ones and just spanned out to other properties that Im not interested in.

I'm all about that Thor and Groot set. The Thor will be a nice fit for the Marvel Legends as well.

I have to admit, those Minimates are cute. Don't want to look too closely at them, though, because the last thing I need is another line to pique my interest, lol! Diamond Select has recently started creeping into my previously only Marvel Legends collection, though, especially some of the older figures with cool diorama pieces. I'd be interested in those Kelvin 'verse Star Trek Kirk and Spock as well as John Wick shown in the video.

Never had select products before. Does anyone know if that Cloak can be separated from Dagger for posing purposes?

I prefer pose-able figures to statues. But that carnage and punisher may be worth it--especially since there hasn't been any good posable carnage ML
