Was I Ripped Off?

I'm relatively new at collecting Marvel Legends. I mostly buy them at retail with the occasional loose older figure here and there when I find something I want cheap.

Last week I spent the most I've ever spent on a figure, well two figures actually when I bought a Face Off Hulk vs. Leader 2 pack from Amazon.ca. I spent $120 Canadian before tax on it. That's not my question though. I generally believe somethings worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it so that doesn't matter. I was willing to pay that so it's alright. My question stems from this. The picture shown of what I was buying was the mushroom head Leader version and what I just received in the mail was the tall head Leader version. There was nothing that I noticed in the description that I was getting a different version and the page is no longer up to check which also means it was their last one.

I didn't have either version and I was torn over which version I wanted to get so I don't mind having this one over the other but I'm not sure what to do for feedback. Did this company (the seller not Amazon) fish me in? Showing me a more expensive version and sending me a cheaper version? If they did I'd like to warn people in the feedback that they do such things. If they are worth the same then no harm and no foul. If it's worth more then I'll count my lucky stars until I take them out of the package and ruin their value forever.

I'm pretty sure the eraser head Leader is the more HTF version, bro. I have the mushroom head version and if I remember correctly I don't know that I ever even saw the version you got at retail. But, as you said, the piece is only worth what the customer wanted. So technically you got the better product (assuming it's in new condition), but if it wasn't the one you wanted you got hit by the old bait & switch. A lot of times when some of these etailers loose track of stock and run out of the standard product they'll send a product of higher value. I guess they assume the average collector will not mind getting a rarer version. If the amount of money you spent was what you were intending to spend, then you got more than you intended to.

You got the rarer version . If it wasn't what was pictured then you could contact the seller and maybe they give you a parital refund or something but I wouldn't get to annoyed either way. I tend to not make big deals of that kind of thing as most of the time it is an honest mistake. The seller probably didn't realize there were 2 variants ect.
