Yeah  I was just thinking that recently, and that would make a lot of sense. But if you watched their discussion at the reveals it seemed like they mentioned the Hand and then someone else brought up Hellfire Club. But Skrull soldiers would absolutely make sense. These two packs are some of the main things I look forward to.

HAND Ninjas in Red & please make em both exactly the same on the Sunfire buck. Just lots of different hands for martial arts poses & weapons handling.

The Skrull are obvious to me. They fought everyone. Fantastic 4, Avengers, X-men, any space related hero. They're mooks for all of marvel. I need about 30-40 of them.....

I’d be happy with either Skrulls, the Hand, or Hellfire Club. But my vote went to Hellfire Club for a narrow win.

Given the Captain marvel movie, Skrulls would be the obvious choice, personally I wouldn't mind some SHIELD Agents

Yeah man I’d love to have a female shield body in there especially. And a male with a different mold maybe.  Are these shield agents aren’t going to be as ripped as the bucky cal mold. I’d still be happy if they kept the same male mold and gave us a female and a bunch of accessories.

This was a real tough choice, the difference between my top three is practically nonexistent, I'd be happy with any of them.

1st choice: Hand ninjas.

-Gotta go with the hand ninjas on this one.  But I definitely hope both are identical, for some quick army building.

2nd choice: Nova corps.

-Love Nova and the corps, but classic blue and gold only, nothing more modern than pre-Thanos Imperative.

3rd choice: Skrulls.

-Really would like to get some Secret Invasion displays going.

I'm all for a SHIELD agents pack. A female uniform buck with Quake, Maria Hill and helmeted agent swap heads, and a male agent on the Reaper buck with Captain Rogers, Nick Fury, Jr. and helmeted agent swap heads. If the AIM and Hydra packs were as well received as they say this would be a surefire hit. This would give us a total of 4 actual characters and endless army building options. I don't know why they haven't thought of this yet. Quake alone has been on a lot of people's most wanted list and I constantly see requests for an updated Captain Rogers. Personally, this would break my wallet but it's something that would be a smash hit with collectors all around.

For an army builder set, you wouldn't include famous characters, you would keep they as generic as possible

Provided they were done in the same style as the AIM and HYDRA sets (two "buck" figures w/plenty of accessories), then I'll take:

SHIELD

Hand

Kree

Skrull

Chitauri

Nova Corps (the REAL one, not the dumpy mall cop Nova Corps from the MCU)

Yeah of course you gotta give the generic helmeted heads. But giving the big name shield agent heads in the pack for swap outs Makes a lot of sense. It’s an easy way to kill two birds with one stone.

It may make snese but that's not what these Army Builders are about. They are about making armies not giving people new established characters, that's what a standard two pack would be for.

I know. The only one I wouldn’t be surprised about them doing that in though would be the Shield one. Maybe it doesn’t belong, and I would be disappointed if we got characters over generic soldiers but if we got both I’m cool with that for sure.

I don't see what the problem would be. You're only gonna get 2 figs in the box either way. If you don't want the characters just put the generic heads on them. Hell, throw the character sculpts away if you want. I guarantee, from a merchandising standpoint, the inclusion of characters would boost sales many times over cuz most collectors would be more interested in getting the characters rather than the generics. In all honesty, aside from what your personal feelings are, generic army builders only appeal to a small portion of the ML collecting community. This way you hit both the character driven collectors and the army builder collectors. Character collectors would be sure to buy at least 2 sets to be able to get all 4 and army builders could buy as many as they want. It DOES make more sense. Not including a recognizable character in any product whenever possible would be more foolish. I think your biggest issue with it is that you're afraid with the added appeal to the character collectors, the sets would be harder to find for the army collectors cuz right now I could go outside and throw a rock and hit a Hydra or AIM set but a SHIELD set including those characters, who are already in demand, would be a lot harder to find. That's just the way things work. Hasbro's gonna always cater to the larger majority.

That’s all I’m saying. Why in the world would you not do that?  Hydra and Aim agents don’t have big names; they’re just goons. But many big name characters have worn the Shield blues.  It’s a different situation.  If there is a choice that Has to be made between the two then it would be different but if you can include generic and character then why wouldn’t you ? Adds much more appeal.

When it comes to army building the HAND, all I want is the same 2 generic  Red Ninjas with different sets of martial arts types hands & lots of different Ninja related weapons. THAT is what "Army" builder means.  Multiples of the same costumes/outfit/uniform, not 2 totally different looking characters.  I want an Army builder 2pack Guardsmen  2 pack & on that one, I have no problem with them making 1 Guardsman on the Sentry buck with some added shoulder spikes but the color scheme & helmet must be the same. Hellfire club grunts all on the Sunfire buck IMO.  AIM/Hydra grunts should all be the same as well. Really not rocket science people. Can't call something an "Army builder" then make both characters look entirely different from one another. For those of you that never served in the military, all military units dress in the same exact uniform for uniformity & not individuality. Marines all wear the same cammies, Army wears their own cammies & so on. You don't see 1 Marine wearing OD Green cammies & the Marine next to him in desert tan cammies. OD Green in the winter with sleeves down, Desert cammies in the summer with sleeves up.  Where does anybody see any uniformity in that AIM "Army builder" 2 pack? I see 2 individually different characters in that set.  I see 1 AIM grunt & 1 generic henchman. I woulda preferred 2 AIM grunts with alternate beehive helmets all dented up as if punched or kicked in by Cap along w/extra hands.

Uuuuumm, yeah I'm pretty sure different branches of the military services have different gear and attire, even within the same branch of military. Army infantry dress and are equipped differently than the Army Rangers, Army Paratroopers use different gear as well, National Guard dress differently than the standard army attire, communication specialist carry different gear than snipers. Higher ranking officers dress differently than their troops, especially on base. True, your not gonna see a desert camo next to jungle camo in the field, but there are different specified looks for different specialties in the field. That's a really inaccurate argument and identical 2 packs are just never gonna happen. The closest thing that'll ever happen in that regard would most likely be something like the Hand Ninja & SHIELD agent 2 pack they did back during the Dark Days of ML. What would be a really good idea is if Hasbro did a whole online order option through HTS where they could open a pre-order option and then produce the products to be shipped out once a certain number of orders have been secured. Kinda like what they're proposing with the HasLab projects. This is the way Super7 has been doing MOTUC and it seems to be working for them, and they have a lot fewer resources than Big Daddy Hasbro. Additionally, Hasbro could save on packaging by not having to box them to be displayed and sold on store floors. They can just send one info sheet and pack however many figures were ordered with only bubble wrap and packing peanuts.

If they do it for one set people will be excepting it for all later sets. Also the trend of most Marvel 2 Packs has been 1 new character and 1 old character which is two similiar to the retail release. Yes, of course they could  add other heads but I would still prefer to generic agents and leave the established characters for the actual waves.

I hear you, and I would prefer the generic as well. But if I have a choice, more is better.

I absolutely love this idea. And I’m with you that some variation in the uniforms is good. If you want them all identical then just go for that particular style. You can always find people selling them as singles on eBay. But as far as the Hasbro releases I like the variation.
